ACTS From Batu Pahat Starts Its Own CNRM Subsidy Programme!! 7th Aug 2012, by AnimalCare
Ahh…this is the best present for me today – ACTS of Batu Pahat, under the leadership of Angie Ng Chew Khui, has started a CNRM subsidy programme, modeled after ours.
Their procedures:
This is exactly what I had been hoping for since we started our programme three years ago – that other groups of people will start their own programmes in their respective towns.
ACTS has its own panel vet in Batu Pahat now. That was how we started three years ago too – with 6 pan...

A reader has written in asking if we could share contact details of taxi drivers who are willing to ferry rescued animals in their vehicles.
If you know of any, please do share their contact details by leaving a comment on this post. Thank you!
Dear Dr Chan,
I’m sure many animal lovers are trying to implement TNRM for their
community strays but since most of us are salary workers working
during the weekdays, we are unable to transport the strays to the vet
clinics for neutering/spaying dur...

Ref: http://myanimalcare.org/2012/07/21/an-update -on-the-case-of-the-indah-water-dogs/

Monitoring The Monitor Lizard 6th Aug 2012, by AnimalCare
On Lizard Watch tonight, we are pleased and relieved to provide the following report:
This morning, we did a drain hole watch and spotted no reptilian snout popping up.
The drain hole watch was repeated in the evening with the same result.
Water was also flushed down twice throughout the day, and the flow was reported to be smooth. We hope this means that the elusive reptile has already made its exit from our drain.
Brave little Baggy took it upon herself to monitor the second post this...

Reptilian Night Watch 5th Aug 2012, by AnimalCare
We looked everywhere in the garden. There was no reptile in sight.
All has been quiet at the Clubhouse as well.
Cleo is standing guard at this drain hole.
Actually, we are watching the cats’ reaction to the drain hole; that would be the best indication of whether the reptile is anywhere near the drain holes. We cannot see inside, but the cats can sense its presence, as they had for the past few days.
Cow is keeping watch at the first post.
We’re not sure how to read the cats...
