Happy World Animal Day, And In Loving Memory Of Vixey

Vixey was rescued from a rubbish heap together with her brother, Wii. After 10 days, Vixey had a brain trauma. She survived the critical 3 day period and subsequently suffered from physical retardation and growth hormone deficiency leading to her eventual passing after 2 years. But, despite all her shortcomings, in the span of just 2 years, Vixey helped nurse little rescued kittens, shared her space with another adult female cat, and brought tremendous joy to my life.

"At the end of a difficult day when my big rig driving brother in law saw someone dump what looked like an animal on the side of a highway in the rain he quickly took the nearest exit and returned for it. It was a very dirty & tiny kitten that had made her way into the middle of a lane of traffic. Other drivers carelessly drove over her (she went between their tires) and blocking the lane with his truck was the only way he could stop them. Zeus was the father of the gods in Ancient Greece, and his namesake, a 3-year-old Great Dane from Otsego, Michigan, USA, can today be referred to as the "father of the dogs" as he is announced as the Tallest Dog Ever by Guinness World Records.

Zariguim Was Shot 9 Times In Head & Saved By Angels

It's hard to imagine what kind of monster would deliberately shoot an elderly dog in the head. Zariguim was shot 9 times and ran for his life. He couldn't see from his injuries and ran to a highway and was struck. It looked like the end, until a couple of angels arrived and began gently talking to Zariguim and wrapping him in a blanket. Another Three Feline Visitors

Besides Mr G and the latest visitor, Bosco, we also have two regulars. They are Rosie the Calico and Ginger the ginger-cat. Both are quite well-mannered and do not make demands.
Ginger is the most well-mannered of all them as she would just sit on our pillar and enjoy the scenery.
Both are not here for the food, but just for the company.
Rosie is one of our community cats as her ear is already notched.
