To celebrate Black Cat Awareness month this October, we got 10 meow slaves of our #SPCASingapore‘s black/tuxedo cats to share more about their experience as a black cat owner, and their thoughts on black cat myths.
Black and Tuxedo cats are commonly left behind at shelters, and it is no different here at the SPCA. Even in 2021, black cats are still associated with superstitions.

Tempers are frayed and there's an ear fettish going on at the half-way-home. Blood donor Petey S bit senior Milky in the ear. Milky is now furious. Petey S is regretfull for biting Uncle Milky's ear.
Milky was rescued from the Selayang pound as a pup and was adopted by a wonderful family. However, they had to return Milky to us after the father of the family passed away suddenly and they had to give up their house and move to an apartment.

UPDATE ON AMMU (rescued in Shah Alam.)
An abdominal ultrasound, found that kidney stones in both kidneys. Pancreas test is normal. A full blood test was done twice and initially liver parameters were high but went down significantly in three days. However, Ammu still does not look too good clinically because she still doesnt eat and can't walk. Multiple diagnostic tests such a repea blood tests, pancreatitis test, xray and ultrasound have been conducted but stillcould not detect why she does ...
