Hi there! The SSPCA Calender 2015 is now in the planning and we would like to invite everyone to submit photos of their pets that have been rescued, either from our SSPCA shelter or from the streets, or adopted from a fosterer. Send us your best "then" and "now" shots and we will pick the best 12 to be featured in our 2015 calender. The lucky 12 will have their photos professional taken for the calendar!!
Submission closes on Aug 21st 2014. Go get snapping!!

Greetings from SSPCA!
The shelter is currently running very low on rice, dog foods (canned & biscuit), clorox and newspaper. We would like to seek your kind donations on this. You can drop off the items at our shelter. We would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your past donations and your kind donations are very much appreciate.
(For your info, we use 20kg of dog biscuit and 30kg of rice everyday)

TIPS TO KEEP YOUR PET SAFE IN A HEATWAVE
1. A REFRSHING COOL DOWN- A bath without soap for evaporative cooling. Use a garden hose to wet down your dog or a wet towel to wet down your cat.
2. STAY INDOORS- If your pet simply must be outside, make sure shade is available AT ALL TIMES. Be sure to check the area your pet is in. As the sun changes, is the shade still available?

Do you know? We get these messages and calls EVERY SINGLE DAY :(
Irresponsible person: Hello, I sent my dog to SSPCA. How is it now?
Curious person: Why did you sent your dog there?
Irresponsible person: Oh, my dog's leg got infection and must be amputated. Medical fee RM300 I cannot afford. So give to SSPCA.
Having a pet is for LIFE, if you are not ready financially or emotionally, please don't get one. Educate your friends and family about Responsible Pet Ownership today!
