Fireworks can be great fun for people, but your pet may find them terrifying. During the firework and firecracker season, pets often become frightened and disorientated – this can lead to them running into unknown areas or even getting hurt.

How many teeth do puppies have?
In the beginning, there is NONE. Like us, dogs are born toothless. Puppies will quickly develop a set of 28 teeth, and as adults, they have 42 teeth.
When do puppies get their teeth?
Puppy teeth erupt starting about 2 weeks of age and usually completely in by about 8-10 weeks old. The incisors often come in first, followed by canine teeth and the premolars, although there can certainly be some normal variation between individuals.

We recently received numerous calls and messages on one particular dog, BoyBoy, roaming around the area of No.6 and On3 kopitiam, Jalan Song. Concerned public often mistaken BoyBoy as a rabid dog.
BoyBoy ran out of his house 2 years ago during a loud blasting sound of firecracker. He lost his way home. His current caretaker gave him shelter when they found him at Top Ten coffeeshop.

Update on Pelvis
Pelvis was found in the drain by Siti Aishah last evening. She brought Pelvis into her house at Matang temporary, while waiting for our volunteer Andy to arrive.
Pelvis was then brought to our panel vet, Animal Central Veterinary Clinic, and was diagnosed by Dr Izza. On her diagnosis, Pelvis suffered a fractured on her pelvis, and may not be able to walk as per normal. It was suspected that Pelvis was hit by a vehicle while crossing the road.

Dogs are companionable creatures. They require social interaction with humans and other animals. Regular exercise such as in the form of daily walks, and interaction with family members are a must. Dogs are not unlike children in that they need constant communication and practice to remind them of what the right behaviours are - through positive reinforcement methods.

Pica Chew - that is the technical term for digesting anything not classified as an actual food. Most common form of pica is rock, plastic bags, wood, paper, and many more. My dogs and puppies at home, harbors a particular fondness for tissue papers although they need not be cleaned!

A group of 10 students from NiIT's Business Faculty chose SSPCA as for their MPU2112 Pengurusan Ko-Kurikulum project.
The students displayed their skills in making food like sushi, bibimbap, sandwiches to sell to their fellow collegemates, lecturers and public within the college premises at Jalan Keretapi. Besides that, they also had a few sessions to walk our shelter's dogs.
With all their hardwork and efforts put in, they managed to raise RM4,300, and they used these funds to buy our shelter...
