Its World Monkey Day. While The World Readily Awai.. 14th Dec 2020, by Roots & Shoots Malaysia
It’s World Monkey Day!
While the world readily awaits the vaccine for Covid-19, we have to remember that the vaccine is possible due to the many tests done on our primate cousins. Whilst many have suffered for the benefit of mankind, we can still show our gratitude by treating them better in the wild.
What can you do?
1) Do not feed them
Feeding monkeys humans food makes them vulnerable to many illnesses due to the high levels of oil, salt and sugar in our processed foods.
2) Dispose of yo...

Malaysia’s mountains not only provide us with drinking water but they are also home to many plants and animals - some that can only be found here and nowhere else in the world. Like the Malaysian Partridge and the Titiwangsa Horned Tree Lizard.
Sadly our mountains have been under stress due to excessive development and pollution.
What can you do?
Always throw away your rubbish in the right places when you hike or visit these mountains. Do not litter.

Today is #WorldVeganDay
Besides adding to your physical health and well-being, going vegan is also beneficial to our planet.
Animal agriculture impacts the world’s biodiversity by using wild land for soy and maize crops, the primary livestock feed.
The increasing use of land has led to a number of native species being threatened on a global level, including different species of monkeys, elephants, bears, tigers, alligators, lions, wolves, and parrots.
Choosing a vegan diet will go a long way...
