Pole Takes Back Her Condo 24th Jun 2012, by AnimalCare
Ever since Baggy fought for and established her “throne” in the garden…
…and took over this shelf,
…Pole reclaimed her condo!
Yes, this is her favourite floor in her condo.
She made sure she slept on all floors…a symbolic act of reclamation?
Yes, Pole. It’s yours again.
But Pole being the lady that she is, still allows Baggy to use this shelf to dine during meal times.
Good girl, Pole.
It was really very good of Pole to give up ...

Collective Positive Thoughts Needed For These Poor Cats (Shaidatul’Aini Mohd Shaari’s) 24th Jun 2012, by AnimalCare
Since the authorities have investigated and did not see a need to do anything, all that is left for us to do from here is to collective pray that this lady will release the poor cats so that the rescuers can do the needful and give them a better life.
Here is the story:
A woman in Muar has been caging her cat/s without proper care for quite some time now. After countless visits to advise her, a rescuer has made a complaint to the veterinary dept in kl & they sent a team from Segamat...

Medical Subsidy For A Cat With Lymphoma (Hew Sook Yean’s) 24th Jun 2012, by AnimalCare
Hew Sook Yean brought one of the market cats to her regular vet as the cat appeared to be sickly. The vet thought it was FIP and suggested she bring it to the UPM vet for a more thorough diagnosis. At UPM, the cat demonstrated abdominal breathing. An X-Ray showed that she had pleural effusion (build-up of fluids between the lungs and the chest cavity) and the fluid was blood tinged. Ultrasound and other tests showed neoplastic changes of the cells which led to the diagnosis of lymphoma (cancer o...

The Story Of Spoty Hachiko – He Came And He Went But He Conquered Their Hearts 23rd Jun 2012, by AnimalCare
Here’s a beautiful sharing by one of our readers:
I’m glad to note that Bobby is doing fine and eating well. He seems to pick up his younger days habit of rodeo horsey jig. That is great – that’s means he felt well enough to feel playful.
Bobby reminds me of Spoty Hachiko – he came to us after being abandoned by his owner(s) we suspect after he got sick – he has kidney problems, We were doing a little renovation to our place and he came and assigned himself ...

Found:An Iguana – Is It Your Pet, Or Would You Like To Adopt It? 23rd Jun 2012, by AnimalCare
My neighbourhood security guard rang the doorbell just now. He brought an elderly Malay man over and he was carrying a basket.
Apparently, an iguana had wandered into his back garden and it looked like a lost pet, so he captured it with the hope that the owner can be traced before the poor thing wandered further or got lost.
If you know of anyone in the SS18 area who has lost a pet iguana, please ask him/her to contact En Buyung (010-2771271) or Pn Lola (012-2047753) to retrieve their pet immedi...

Ref: http://myanimalcare.org/2012/06/13/very-urge nt-newborn-kittens-in-need-of-fosterer-in-johor-ba ru/
No one from JB responded to this case, but on that day itself, I contact Angie Ng from Batu Pahat, and since then, Angie has been in touch with Sok Khim.
Angie told Sok Khim to hang on and try to delay her mother from throwing the kittens away. These are orphaned kittens whose mother had died. Sok Khim’s mother would not allow her to bring the kittens to a vet either.
Last night, Angie...
