A Rescued Puppy, Saved In The Nick Of Time (Leslie Guoh’s)

Last week, my friend, Leslie Guoh, texted to say a newly rescued puppy which her daughter had brought home, seemed very ill. The puppy was motionless, going down fast. She thought the puppy was going to die soon.
I advised her to quickly send the puppy to my vet for treatment. We will provide a subsidy since it is a rescued animal.
Leslie did, and today, the puppy is alright.

Subsidy For Hambao, Rescued (now Adopted) Dog (Carman Hor’s)

Hambao and Dehbao were two rescued dogs whose medical treatment we subsidised in 2011. Unfortunately, Dehbao did not make it. Hambao did, and upon recovery, was adopted.

Two Dogs Spayed-Neutered (Meiji’s)

We have sponsored the neutering of one male dog (RM30) and the spaying of one female dog (RM40), both brought down from Raub by Meiji to Klinik Kembiri. Both dogs were rescued from the roadside. The male dog was extremely emaciated initially but after a week of feeding, seemed healthy again.
The procedures were done on Saturday and both dogs are doing well now.

I found a mother cat and her 8 kittens about 2 week ago. The smallest
one is really weak and small ( about the size of a new born) while the
rest are almost 4 weeks old. They have all been to the vet including
the mother.
My problem now is that I am not able to care for them all as the small

SAMSARA & JIP - CHICAGO HERE WE COME!... Yes, we found wondeful new homes for both Samsara & Jip & they're off to Chicago on 27th Feb with flight volunteer, Charmaine & her husband. Many thanks to everyone who made these 2 wonderful adoptions possible including adopters, flight volunteers, co-ordinators/foster carers & ISDF (International Street Dog Foundation) for donating the flight costs. This poor community cat was caught on a glue-board trap placed by a pest control company overnight at a HDB bin centre. The cat in these photos was dying by the time it was brought to the SPCA. She was in deep distress and panting heavily. Our duty veterinarian made the decision to humanely euthanase the cat to prevent further suffering.
The board trap was about 4 feet by 5 feet in size and the amount of glue on the board was excessive. The cat never stood a chance.
