Spaying And Vaccination Subsidy For 3 Dogs (Susan Bell’s)

We have subsidised RM100 for the spaying of Hazel and RM60 for the vaccinations of Hazel, Effie and Ebony. Maria O’Connell has topped up the subsidy by another RM100 to make it a total of RM260 in support of Susan Bell and Margie Tan’s work in helping these dogs at the construction site. A few months ago when Buddy, a black lab mix, was found running down Maybank Highway on John’s Island, South Carolina. It quickly became apparent that something was wrong with his eyes, and it turned out that he needed surgery to repair the eyelashes that were pointing inward in a birth defect that made it feel as though he had gravel beneath his eyelids. Two weeks ago, Christine and Pearly, two young and sweet girls volunteer themselves to help up at our shelter. Eventhough it was heavy rain on that particular Saturday, it did not stop them from volunteering.They had helped to clean up all the poo-poo, feed the doggies as well as helping us to disinfect the puppy area at the entrance after a puppy was suspected to have been infected by parvo virus. Dogfood For Meiji’s Dogs

Today, Meiji collected another 16 bags of dogfood for her dogs (each bag is 18kg). This sponsorship comes from our Food Fund, Andy Lew and Kok Khee Wee.
Meiji single-handedly looks after 138 dogs in her sanctuary up on the hills in Raub. These dogs are rescued from Raub, Bentong, the surrounding areas and some were found abandoned at the valley by owners. Meiji’s only income is from rubber-tapping. We help her with our Medical Fund and Food Fund.

Chitam Opens Her Eyes And Chills Out With The Rest!

Etta James’ fosterer informed me two days ago that Chitam had already opened her eyes! She thinks that Chitam may have been born premature because she is really very tiny.

Regarding the 21 puppies confiscated at the Woodlands Checkpoint over the weekend, if approached by the Agri-Food and Veterinary Authority (AVA), will do all we can to help to adopt them out. However, at the moment, this case is being handled solely by AVA. Thus, we have no information at this point. All queries about the confiscated puppies should be sent to ava_email@ava.gov.sg.
