What They Do, And What We Do

Yes, stray animals may:
1. Sleep atop our cars. It’s their natural instinct to be in high places.
2. Urinate on our car tyres. It is also their natural way.
3. Jump onto our roofs. Again, they like high places.
4. Accidentally break our flower pots or decorative ornaments. I doubt it’s on purpose.
5. Urinate and defecate in our gardens. Again, where else can they do it? A public toilet?
6. Eat our food. Because they are hungry.

Rosie And Ginger Are Our Porch Cats Now, And Some Reflections On Community Animals

Ever since Raven was rehomed, Rosie was the first to move into our house compound. Then, Ginger joined her. Now, both of them are our porch cats. I hope they will stay in our compound as much as possible and not go over to the neighbours who might not tolerate the presence of community animals in their compounds. Also, there is the problem of cats jumping on roofs, accidentally causing roof tiles to fall, things to break, etc. and some people might not be tolerant of such things.

area. Female Terrier, maybe about 1 years old.
Playful and smart, must have been trained, coz know right place to
pee/poo and basic commands. Notices put up at 7E and vets but no
response.

Yong is more than 12 years of age and one of the oldest dogs at the shelter. She was found at Nai Harn beach in 2010 wandering around dis-orientated, suffering fungal infection & severely malnourished. We also soon discovered she is almost totally blind.
Yong has spent almost her entire life as a street dog & is now safe at Soi Dog where she has full time care, food & shelter. She loves to sleep all day long & enjoys her own company.

Kim has a shelter with rescued dogs in Ulu Langat. We have subsidised RM397 for the medical treatment of Lady, an injured dog rescued by her. According to Kim, the dog was hit by a car and she lost all her babies.

Our most senior citizen @ Second Chance, Madame Wong (15 years old) has gone to the rainbow bridge on last Saturday morning due to pneumonia. R.I.P. Madame Wong, you will be missed by all of us. I couldn't hold back my tears ever since I received SMS from Mrs Lai informing Wong had since passed away in the morning. I promised to pay her a visit once I come back from Singapore and bring her a bottle of chicken essence. I feel extremely bad for not making on time to see her the very very last time...

Our vets report that Nong Tham is now eating, drinking & feeling much better. The wound is healing nicely & is a vast improvement in just 3 days!
This cute 8 week old puppy was brought to the shelter a few days ago with a deep wound to his left eye which was badly swollen & had become maggot infested.
