22nd Jan 2019, by SPCA Sarawak

A PET IS FOR LIFE We have received a surge of requests recently from owners who want to surrender their pets to us. We are not able to take in anymore animals. :- If you do need to find a new home for your pet, you’ll want to advertise as widely as you can, in as many places as possible. Here’s s...

Vincent’s Kitchen Portraits
22nd Jan 2019, by AnimalCare

It’s not so easy to take Vincent’s portraits as he is always on the move, but I managed to take these yesterday! Me too! Me, me, me!! Don’t forget me!! Eating is back to normal now. Strangely, Vincent is not vomiting food, but water. So I’ve consulted the vet and we are reducing the subcut to 220ml now. Maybe there is an excess of fluids. Indy! Indy has this “new” way of getting attention – he lies next to my mouse so that I cannot move it, and thus,...

22nd Jan 2019, by AnimalCare

We have provided an aid of RM180 for the neutering of these 3 cats. Ms Ho is a new applicant. These 3 male kittens were rescued in Pandan Indah – near a field. They were left behind by some residents around that area. I took them home n send them for neutering at the clinic. They are now safely at home and I hv decided to keep them as my own pets after neuturing them as they are very well behave. Thank You So Much for looking into my applications. Really appreciate that very much. Regards...

Unfortunately, I am one of many dogs who have fallen victim to deliberate poisoning. My name is Namthip. Dogs like me who live on the streets, are forced to find food and shelter to survive. Each day is a struggle and sometimes I ended up in areas that are not safe for dogs, which ultimately led me to Soi Dog. After eating something off the street one day, I started to feel funny. My body started to shut down and I felt extremely weak and sick. Luckily someone witnessed what was happening and ...

We’ve rescued 2 dogs from the wall behind Jalan Birah 20. The 2 German Shepherds are both male. One is very skinny and the boss, the other one less skinny and shy. They had no collars and don’t want to be separated. They were extremely hungry and thirsty. They are with us at Jalan Birah no. 19. They can’t stay as we have a big dog ourselves and they can’t mix as I don’t know what disease they may have. Owners, please contact me! Or anyone who knows whom they belong to. Thank you. Leoni...

You won’t believe the difference people like you have made for Yolanda! A few months ago, we brought you this girl’s shocking story. She’d been found roaming the streets in a world of pain. Somehow, in her desperate foraging for food, a large bone from a discarded piece of meat had become firmly lodged in her mouth. It was preventing her from eating or closing her mouth properly and she was slowly starving to death. Please help to fund rescues such as Yolanda’s! Go to https://bit.ly/S...

Seth The Reticulated Python Was Out Hunting, And B..
21st Jan 2019, by Animal Concerns Research & Education Society (ACRES)

Seth the reticulated python was out hunting, and being the opportunistic hunter that they are, he locked in on a stray cat, constricted the feline, and was ready to consume the carcass. At this point, he was attacked by a human who threw a drain cover on him. Seth sustained a minor fracture, but it would have hurt- just like any other fracture. And being a sentient being, he would have suffered. Many of you may find that Seth got what he deserved- especially when you think it could happen to yo...

My name is Nooma and I’m a sweet girl looking to make my way into someone’s heart. I was found on the streets of Phuket near a local market, where I used to wander to find food and shelter. However, I somehow managed to get a wound near my tail. My wound needed to be properly cleaned and stitched. If it had been left untreated I would had suffered from an infection, which could have become fatal. People tell me I’m a stunning girl because of my pointy big ears and short ginger fur. I have...

Chaos' Lives Up To His Name. He Got Very Sick Last..
21st Jan 2019, by Dr Rayya's Online Veterinary Journal

'Chaos' lives up to his name. He got very sick last week with vomiting and lack of eating. X-rays of his abdomen made us very suspicious of a foreign body especially given he didn't respond to supportive care with intravenous fluid therapy. Abdominal surgery confirmed he'd ingested a corn cob that led to an intestinal obstruction. Lovely seeing him so happy and eating well 3 days after his surgery. 💙💙💙 #vetcheck #caninepostoperativecheck #canineforeignbody #canineexploratorylaparotomy #...

21st Jan 2019, by SPCA Singapore

RESPONSIBLE PET OWNERSHIP Responsible pet ownership involves a pet owner taking responsibility for the overall well-being of their pet. This includes making both the time and financial commitment throughout the animal’s life.
