Goat’s Milk Liquid Food, Ikan Bawal And Renate 11th Mar 2019, by AnimalCare
Vincent came out many times today asking for food and I couldn’t get it right…
…until I gave him this liquid food. The other bowl is homemade steamed chicken from a broth, but he didn’t want any of that.
This is Cindy’s liquid food with goat’s milk and it is meant for kittens and special needs adult cats. I saw Vincent pawing his mouth and I know it’s the rotten teeth on either side that must be causing pain. Poor boy….
I gave him Ciao treats ...

Vincent’s “elaborate” Breakfast 11th Mar 2019, by AnimalCare
I came downstairs at 6.30am this morning and Vincent was lying down in the cage in the patio. Everyone else waited for breakfast.
I fed Zurik and Buddy first (this needs watching so that Buddy doesn’t snatch Zurik’s food), then Tabs et al, and then, the Cow Clan. Vincent did not come for food, so that’s okay. I’ve already told Vincent quite a number of times now that if he doesn’t feel like eating, it’s perfectly okay. He doesn’t have to eat.
After every...

Photos From Soi Dog Foundation's Post 11th Mar 2019, by Soi Dog Foundation
Meet Phutawan! He is the definition of a good boy. Phutawan was rescued after someone saw him struggling to walk. His back legs were weak and he was in pain. After being examined by our vet team, they realised he was suffering from multiple old fractures and after closer examination decided that surgery was necessary.
Being a young boy, it was tough for him to be enclosed in a kennel for his recovery, however, he handled it well and has since made a full recovery. He is now extremely happy to b...

Photos From Soi Dog Foundation's Post 10th Mar 2019, by Soi Dog Foundation
“I was told he was hit and abused by people because he was dirty and stinky.” Do you remember these words from Driscoll’s story? This is what the kind person who found him told us. If you missed his story, here it is again, with some updated photos of our beautiful boy! Please go to https://bit.ly/Saving_Driscoll to donate for homeless cats like him!
Driscoll was battling terrible skin problems when he was found all alone in the street. When the lady who found him asked around for an own...

A Happy Hearty Feast For Vincent! 10th Mar 2019, by AnimalCare
We came back from taiji at about 4.30pm and Vincent came into the kitchen to ask for food.
I offered Monge, but he didn’t want that, so I gave him the steamed chicken we got for lunch and even though it was cold, he went for it. But it was cold, so I quickly took it away to steam and replaced it with raw liver and chicken fillet.
He ate that too.
Very quickly, the steamed chicken was all warmed up and Vincent had a feast!

Vincent’s Prognosis, Back From Clinic 10th Mar 2019, by AnimalCare
We made the trip to the clinic this morning. I decided not to do the subcut yet and thought I’d do it after the visit.
However, the vet found Vincent severely dehydrated and the subcut had to be done immediately at the clinic. It was 300ml too, due to the severe dehydration.
Vincent’s muscle wastage is also very severe.
He was given his second Darbepoetin jab and the B12 jab.
A urine sample was taken by expressing his bladder and his proteinurea is extremely high. This comes as no su...
