Cruelty to a Protected Wild Animal
This time yesterday, at 6.20pm, a town council personnel found this water monitor lizard helplessly bound at a bin centre at 334 Kreta Ayer Road.
Thanks to the Essential Maintenance Service Unit (EMSU) for alerting us, the lizard was later rescued by our wildlife rescue team for release.
This is an appeal for information to anyone who may have information on this incident. Our Animal Crime Investigation Unit (ACIU) has filed a case...

Ms Tan is a new applicant.
She is an abandoned white cat left by a Malay family after they moved house.It is very unfortunate that this female cat gave birth twice in a year .She came to my house in Puchong few days prior to the delivery day. She was last gave birth to 3 white kittens on 4th April 2019 . I feed her whenever she comes to my house .I am helping to look after her 3 kittens now . Finally I got to neuter her on 1st...

The death of Tam, our last male Sumatran rhino in Sabah reminds us that a species can go extinct in our lifetime. However, Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART) is a medical procedure that could be used to breed the remaining three rhinos by collaborating with their Indonesian counterparts to exchange gametes.
WWF-Malaysia calls on the government to enhance diplomatic efforts towards Indonesia, in order to help save this species by allowing ART to take place.
