LIVING UNDER ONE ROOF - PETS AND CHILDREN
Pets and children can live happily under one roof. In fact, pet ownership has a positive impact on children.
Children whom have have been raised with pets learn to be empathetic and compassionate and they grow up to be responsible individuals.
We would like to share how one of our cat adopters Joan, managed her household after she gave birth.
Have a read at http://www.spca.org.sg/PDF/Joan%20and%20family%20s tory.pdf
What is important is the gu...

Rosie’s News (Day 9) 26th Feb 2017, by AnimalCare
Rosie was whining all over the house again, so we decided to let her go to Bunny’s Garden with the hope that she might be happier being on the grass.
She wasn’t happy, she just stared out from the Stargate.
She continued whining and within minutes, wanted to go back to the house. So I carried her back. Oh, I locked Cow, Bunny and Indy in the room while Rosie was in Bunny’s Garden.
Tiger is so happy in the house and you don’t have to close the doors and windows. He won...

Rosie’s Morning (Day 9) 26th Feb 2017, by AnimalCare
Nothing much fantastic to report this morning. Rosie looked interested in food, but when offered, she didn’t eat much.
Since cats are finicky/fussy eaters (but wait, I should not use the words “fussy” or “finicky” because that’s just the way cats are and we should not expect them to be otherwise as that would be a practice of anthropomorphising, which is not correct!), I thought I’d offer a variety of food to Rosie and see which she likes.
The myth of t...

My Second Encounter With A Bath Blast 26th Feb 2017, by AnimalCare
I was all sweaty after spending hours looking for Rosie so after we found her, I just had to take a bath.
There was a thunderstorm at the time. I knew, but I was careless and proceeded to take a shower.
Within seconds after turning on the shower, there was thunder and in that split second, I saw a spark come out of a hairline gap of the shower and felt a shock in my arm. Automatically, I flung the shower down.
Oh no, another bath blast…again. But this seemed milder than the previous...

WHY IS THE GREEN IGUANA NOT GREEN ANYMORE?!
Featured in this photo is Watney, the biggest green iguana in our care. Some male green iguanas will brighten up their colours during mating season, and may return back to duller shades after.
Please consider supporting the iguanas and other victims of the wildlife trade under our Wildlife Supporter Scheme - http://acres.org.sg/support-us-2/wss/

Rosie’s Great Escape (Day 8) 25th Feb 2017, by AnimalCare
This morning, Rosie ate kibble by herself at about 5.30am. She didn’t want any wet food.
Then, at 7.00am, she went to the kitchen to ask for kibble again. So I gave it to her and she ate…on her own.
That’s a good sign….(I hope).
After that, she started whining all over the house. We thought she wanted to defecate, so we brought the litter box (with OKO Plus) near to her and even put her into it, but she jumped out and continued whining all over the house.
Finally, my h...

Photos From SPCA Selangor, Malaysia's Post 25th Feb 2017, by SPCA Selangor
Today we are looking at Nina. Just look at her gorgeous features, just look, no, look, seriously, look, ayy! Look. With such aerodynamic face shape she's built for a good jogging buddy, she'll slice through the wind like an Aventador S that was just announced. Her high performance paws do not overheat even under constant braking so upgrading is not necessary.
Will you look at her eyes! Just look, no, look, seriously, look, ayy! Look. She will melt any incoming traffic within seconds! SECONDS! T...

Adoption Spotlight - Quin 25th Feb 2017, by SPCA Singapore
ADOPTION SPOTLIGHT - QUIN
Quin came to SPCA when she was still a puppy at three months young, when a concerned member of the public at Woodlands Street 82, heard her whining.
At just slightly above a year old now, Quin is a bundle of energy and she will do well with an owner who has an active lifestyle and who will take Quin out on many adventures so that her energy is expensed.
If you are interested to adopt Quin, do come down to SPCA at 50 Sungei Tengah Raod, to have a chat with our ad...
