Friday, 26 June was Take Your Dog to Work Day. Although few of us in Malaysia can celebrate by bringing our beloved pups to the office with us, pooches elsewhere in the world trotted off to see what their humans do all day. And, of course, to help!

On 11 April 2015, we were alerted to, and rescued, a kitten found trapped on a glue board in Gul Circle. Our Shelter Supervisors and Animal Care Officers took pains to wash the glue off the kitten, daily for a fortnight, applying a mix of cooking oil and shampoo, until he was finally rid of the glue.
SPCA has also written to the relevant pest controller agency, that had installed the glue board in the Gul Circle building concerned, and sought its buy-in to consider alternative pest control met...

Day 3 and our morning (till 4pm) volunteers were Xiang Jun (A levels’ student, in blue) and Jelissa (she’s only 15).
Jelissa even brought a box of dog kibbles so we donated that to MDDB, who was at the next-door booth.

Isn't it amazing how you can fall in love simply by looking at a photograph of an animal? Though many of them live thousands of miles away, you all are the greatest virtual guardians these animals could wish for. The last Sunday of each month is "Super Bowl Sunday" and we have just $5,705 to go in meeting our monthly budget to feed the thousands of animals who are dependent on us.
