Cinder and Ash, a pair of female, local, tortoiseshell-coloured siblings, were brought to our shelter, on 17 June 2015, shortly after being found (possibly abandoned, with some food and a bag), at Tampines Street 33. A suicidal man says his life was saved by his pet mastiff that grabbed his noose and chewed it up.

It was in June this year that Thong-mang was rescued. She was SO incredibly small that her rescuer thought she was a teacup puppy.

Macaques live in troops with a female-bonded social structure. Females do not leave their natal group, whereas males leave as they mature. Neutering: Passed The 1000 Mark!

For this year, we have sponsored 1009 neutering procedures since January and it’s only mid-October now.
This is certainly a new “record” since we started in 2009.
It’s really good and encouraging as it shows that more and more animals are being neutered.
Neutering is one of the most positive methods to address issues related to the stray community, be it over-population or the spread of diseases like rabies.
