Neutering Sponsorship For 1 Male Cat From Skudai, Johor (Norshahadah Bt Rusli’s) 18th Apr 2013, by AnimalCare
Norshahadah works at a “gerai makanan” (food stall) in Skudai, Johor, with her mother and she looks after the community cats around that area. We fully sponsored the spaying of a female cat previously and we have now fully sponsored RM80 for the neutering of a male cat. All in all, Norshah says she has already got 10 cats neutered so far. She is feeding about 18 cats. We have encouraged her to get all of them neutered to stop the breeding, and we would be happy to subsidise as per ou...

Mr G And Willy-O 18th Apr 2013, by AnimalCare
Breakfast was as usual this morning at the patio…
Mr G is a permanent guest for breakfast and dinner.
Note: Timmy is already eyeing Ginger’s bowl.
Then, my husband said someone was outside the gate…
Aww…poor Willy Orange. Vincent (Starry) won’t let him in so he sits outside at the culvert and waits patiently.
I leave a bowl outside and just when Willy plucked up enough courage to come to the bowl…
Mr G came out to confront him.
Willy ran away…...

Tips for caring for your older doggie.
Dogs begin to show visible age-related changes at about seven to twelve years of age. There are metabolic, immunologic and body composition changes, too. Some of these are unavoidable. Others can be managed with diet.
Older dogs have been shown to progressively put on body fat in spite of consuming fewer calories. This change in body composition is inevitable and may be aggravated by either reduced energy expenditure or a change in metabolic rate. Eit...

Thursday's Adoption Notice : Bella
Age: 3 months
Bella is curled up with her siblings Amber and Coco, eagerly looking out for her new human to come take her home. She needs someone who can tolerate the quirks of a young kitten, and a family who is willing to treat her with lots of love and patience. Think you're it?
We advocate responsible pet ownership, so if you think you're ready to help us foster a sick or young animal, or perhaps adopt a forever friend, get in contact with us! Also, whil...

Cleo’s Nest 18th Apr 2013, by AnimalCare
Cleo made a little nest for herself this evening…
Is this cute or what?
Mother, Pole, tried to take daughter’s nest.
The attempt failed.
Me and my nest.
After two hours…
Maybe the European Calico up there is protecting Cleo and her nest!
No more attempts at nest-jacking.

Some Patio Family Photos 18th Apr 2013, by AnimalCare
Ginger taking up his sentry post and Timmy at this (now upgraded) dustbin compartment.
For once (and this a very rare sight), the son is grooming the mum!
Normally, it is the other way around.
Mother-and-daughter’s favourite nightly sojourn. Sometimes, son joins them too and you’ll find a delightful sight of the family of three on top of the car!
Starry
Starry has a new name now. My son decided he should be called ‘Vincent” (reminiscent of the song “Vincen...

Spaying Subsidy For 1 Female Cat (now RIP) (Amy Lee Sew Tin/Agnes Cheong Yoke Lan’s) 17th Apr 2013, by AnimalCare
We have subsidised RM100 for the spaying of this female cat, which is Amy Lee’s first case of CNRM. It is most unfortunate that the cat passed away after the operation due to unforeseen underlying (suspected liver) problems. We hope this incident will not discourage Amy Lee from continuing with doing CNRM on the rest of her community cats. Sometimes, we do our very best, but there are some things which are indeed beyond our control. We hope Amy finds comfort in knowing this.
We also thank ...
