“The animal protection groups filed a lawsuit to fight for the rights of the dolphins and we regret that RWS has filed a lawsuit seeking money from the groups. Justice has not been served for these dolphins. We will continue our efforts to speak up for the dolphins and we will not be silenced” said Mr. Louis Ng, Chief Executive of ACRES.

JOY & HAPPY, 2 of 6 stray siblings living under cars now with their mommy. Sadly, 2 siblings were ran over by car recently. Urgent homes are needed for them to lead a safe life.

Coming Together For Sabah

The last one week has been a particularly tense period for my family because my daughter, Ming-Yi, is serving in Hospital Kunak, which lies in the now declared “Special Security Zone” in East Sabah. It has been a whole week of keeping a close watch on the news, the internet reports, smses and whatever news that comes from whichever media available.

Medical Subsidy For 2 Kittens (Azimah Mohd Othman’s)

We have subsidised RM25 for the mange treatment of these two kittens, Chokie & Blot. According to the vet, these kittens were treated for mange with ivermectin injections. They were also dewormed and given megecat hormone treatment.

Medical Subsidy For A Cat, Mr Brown, RIP (Azimah Mohd Othman’s)

We have subsidised RM125 for Mr Brown’s treatment. According to the vet, Mr Brown was brought in with a ruptured abscess on the side of the body, had severe jaundice and dehydration and was emaciated. Wound cleaning was done under general anaesthesia with antibiotic and painkiller injections. Mr Brown was also tested for FIV and FeLV. Bethany was seen in the vicinity of Lorong Ru 2, Farlim Bandar Baru Air Itam for 10 days. She was looking very thin and weak then. A good samaritan, Mr. Gan who lives in that vicinity has given her some food. Unfortunately, Bethany has no place to go and had to be brought in to the shelter this morning.
