Chewchew chewing you at Kuala Lumpur http://www.petfinder.my/pets/52495
Chewchew likes to play fetch, but he doesn't bark; that would be weird. Neither is Chewchew a descendent of any Star Wars character, but he's brave as a Jedi. He stood up to the bullies, and rescued a pretty damsel home. (Actually, a pretty damsel rescued him home, but don't let him know you know.)
Chewchew is a very loving kitten, born, raised and sworn to the Code of Adorable. He will stay adorable and cute (for as long ...

PULLED FROM A STEAMING GARBAGE PIT in BOSNIA and HERZEGOVINIA: MONEY SENT FOR FOOD & CARE
This week we sent aid to animal rescue volunteer Dalida Kozlic who is not only working on a legal campaign to reform the welfare of animals in Bosnia and Herzegovina but she also runs a small rescue operation out of her own small pocketbook. Here you see just one of the rescues she was involved in. In this instance, six dogs who were rescued from the pit at a garbage dump where the bodies of dead dogs wer...

Live And Let Live, Please? 8th Jan 2014, by AnimalCare
This morning as I was feeding Willy at the culvert outside my house, a cat-friendly neighbour came over to alert me of a new development.
Apparently, an elderly person is unhappy that people are feeding cats at a public park because he/she has asthma. The person claims that he/she cannot walk in the park anymore now because of the presence of these cats.
The cat-friendly neighbour is now very worried for the cats.
In case you encounter a similar situation, this article may be of some help: http...

Happy Mishka at Kuala Lumpur
http://www.petfinder.my/pets/52412/
Per haps Mishka ate the happy pill, or he knows some secrets of happiness that we don't. Otherwise, why would he keep smiling so sweetly all the time?
He doesn't know how to do back flip, nor does he know how to do somersault. Mishka only knows a few basic commands. He can't read, so it's unlikely that he has discovered the Kamasutra book's secrets on the shelf. He's just so... happy!
Mishka knows the secret to the whole...

RESCUED FROM ICY RACETRACK: SPECIAL NEEDS CAT SEEKS HOME 7th Jan 2014, by The Great Animal Rescue Chase
Carlito finally came in from the cold. Now, he needs a miracle.
Three years ago, a handsome, mustachioed tuxedo cat found himself abandoned at a Massachusetts racetrack. The person who had brought him there to serve as a barn cat left him behind at the end of the racing meet, and this big-hearted, people-loving sweetheart was forced to hunt mice and birds to survive.
A caring contingent of track security guards took pity on the cat they dubbed "Carlito" and provided him with scraps whenever they...

An Agonising Two-And-A-Half Hours Of Looking…and Ginger Finally Comes Home! 7th Jan 2014, by AnimalCare
Ever since Ginger’s last disappearing act where he went missing for almost the whole day and only reappeared at midnight from the neighbour’s roof and when I had to consult two animal communicators for help too, he hadn’t gone on any adventure at all. In fact, he was almost always at home. And whenever I was home, he would be right beside me unless I was in the room with Bunny and friends.
This afternoon, Mr Zurik came asking for an early dinner at 3pm. Granted, they all had br...

Medical Subsidies For 3 Dogs (Kimberly Ong Bee Kin’s) 7th Jan 2014, by AnimalCare
When we made the announcement that we would no longer provide medical subsidies, the applicants with outstanding medical claims were informed and given the options or either applying to other organisations or making a final claim from us. Kimberly Ong said she had already posted the forms, so we will honour her claims.
We have thus paid out the following claims:
Johnny’s skin treatment = RM15 (we did not subsidise the cost of the shampoo)
Terrier’s last heartworm treatment (follow-up...
