Curly is one of the 135 dogs looked after single-handedly by Meiji.

We have now subsidised the following for Curly:

We have subsidised RM200 for the spaying of two female cats, Cookie and Lizzie, rescued by Veronica Ong May Yoong.
Hi Dr Chan,
I came to know of your organisation through an article in The Star recently. I admire you for your patience, dedication and love for animals.
I read about the practice of CNRM and would like to start one ie. one back alley CNRM, instead of One-Street CNRM.
My mother in-law and I have been feeding a mother cat, her young kitten (I think its a male about 7-8 months) and ...

WORLD'S SMALLEST PUPPY.. BEYONCE!
The world’s smallest puppy has found another app for the iPhone – as a bed. When she was born, Beyoncé weighed just one ounce and was so tiny she could fit in a spoon. Now two weeks old, she’s still about the size of a credit card. And – like the title of a song penned by her namesake – she’s a survivor.
Beyoncé was the runt of a litter born a fortnight ago to a beleaguered Dachshund mix named Casey, who was abandoned by her owner and left to fen...

A Gentle Reminder: Please Resize Your Photos 28th Mar 2012, by AnimalCare
Dear all,
Could I please appeal to everyone who writes in for help to please resize the photos being sending them to me?
http://myanimalcare.org/2012/03/26/could-you-p lease-resize-your-photos/
Please do not send me large photos that are above 1MB. I do not need high resolution photos for posting on a blog.
In fact, I do not need photos above 100kb for posting. If your photos are too big, it will take me a long time to upload them, and the page itself (with your post) will also take a long t...

Please Vaccinate Your Cats And Other Pets, If You Have Many 28th Mar 2012, by AnimalCare
In just this one week, I’ve received two cases of outbreak of Feline Panleukopenia (also known as feline distemper), which is caused by the deadly feline parvovirus.
Please see this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Feline_panleuk openia
In both cases, the persons concerned are keeping MANY cats but have never got them vaccinated. All it takes is to bring in one single cat that is infected, and in both cases, their cats are now dying one by one. Isolating the healthy ones may help, but the in...

What Diseases Did Pets Have 30-40 Years Ago? 27th Mar 2012, by AnimalCare
I ordered Andi Brown’s book from Amazon.com and am reading it now.
I’m attracted to this quote on Page 13….
It says:
“In speaking with vets that practised thirty or forty years ago, before the pet industry grew, they state that they did not see the diseases in dogs and cats that we are seeing today. Cancer, liver and kidney disease, allergies, skin problems, all were basically unheard of in pets” (Ann Martin, in Foods Pets Die For, The Shocking Truth about Pet Foo...
