We would like to address the issues surrounding the recent Case of Ai, the Jack Russell.
On Saturday, 9 March 2013, we received a few calls from members of the public of a Jack Russell that was laying motionless on a grass patch along Sengkang.
The Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) responds to cases which involve alleged abuse of animals or when it is found to be in distress, we do not pick up deceased bodies.

JACKER, a poor neglected boy who was sold by 1st owner to 2nd person, who didn't bother looking for him when he ran off.
When rescuer found Jacker and located the owner via microchip, both owners didn't want the boy anymore, who had skin disease, and was trembling and scared of human touch.
After loving care from rescuer, this boy is now fully recovered and completely different - happy, friendly, active and loving.

It Is Raining….urine???

Last night was another hot night but suddenly, I heard “rain”.
But it was only raining at one spot and the “rain” was suspiciously yellow and smelled like….cat urine!
Why is the rain yellow?
Earlier on, I had seen a spot of yellow “rain water” as well but thought nothing of it.
But this time, I heard and saw it dripping from above.
So I went out to look and…

Indy Unleashes His Fury…

Indy bit me again yesterday. This would be the third time in these two weeks.
He is just so angry at Starry because Starry, being an abandoned pet, keeps coming into the house and making himself at home. And Starry likes to rub himself all over us.
These were the scars two weeks ago, also inflicted by Indy. I had just unsuspectingly walked into the room when Indy grabbed my leg and bit me real hard.

The Goings-On In Bunny’s Place And At The Patio

The patio has been relatively peaceful…
All the patio cats come into the house when I’m home.
Timmy and Starry are really friendly and they want to be friends with the occupants of Bunny’s Place.
We mean no harm. We just want to be friends.
Daffi comes in too.
Except for Ginger, the rest do not really know how fierce Cow & Bunny can be.
Ginger has had a taste of Cow’s fury which landed him inside the cage with 10 days of antibiotics.

Our friend from Ipoh, Ms Lee, informed us sometime last week that Kelly Tan who runs the Tanjong Rambutan shelter with Jacinta Emmanuel, has a backlog of many unpaid vet bills for her shelter dogs.
At the same time, Kelly is also feeding a few colonies of dogs at various places along the way from Ipoh to Tanjong Rambutan and this takes a toll on her dogfood supply and her finances.
