Abandoned Mother-Cat And 5+2 Kittens For Adoption (Mayo Clinic, USJ Taipan) 19th Jan 2013, by AnimalCare
I was at Mayo Clinic in USJ Taipan yesterday and someone had dumped a whole family of a mother-cat and her 5 kittens at the doorstep of the clinic. Unfortunately, this happens too often and with each litter, the vet will endeavour to find homes for them. According to the vet, some are pets, dumped by their owners who even leave a note for the vet asking him to take care of them.
This cat-family (dumped yesterday) also came with a note by the person who left them outside the clinic, but it di...

Updates On 18th Jan 2013 18th Jan 2013, by SPCA Seberang Perai
Girl Girl needs a "home sweet home". She was slashed (while pregnant) by a maniac a couple of months back and due to that, she was deeply wounded. Mey took pity of her so decided to nurse her back to health and foster her till she recovered and gave birth. As can be seen, she is now a beautiful dog and all her pups has been adopted. It's time she find her own home and happiness as well. If you are interested to give her a home, please contact Mey at 016-4173363. She will be spayed before going t...

…and The Feline Mother-Of-The-Year Award Goes To…. 18th Jan 2013, by AnimalCare
As Ginger was in the cage this afternoon, I heard the sound of cat growls. I was too busy to check and thought it was probably Star Wars coming to eat up the bits of food.
However, when I did check….
Er, hello…and you are?
It’s another ginger cat and quite a big one too.
Daffodil was sitting right in front of Ginger’s cage, protecting Ginger!
Yes, I’d give Daffodil the “Mother-of-the-Year” award! She is so brave.
Rosie was hiding inside the dining...

Star Wars Visits, But No Battlestar Galacticas 18th Jan 2013, by AnimalCare
Star Wars has been visiting the patio, but he seems quite mild-mannered and quite courteous.
Here are photos of his visit a few days ago (before Ginger’s High Noon episode last night).
This is Star Wars.
As you can see, the Patio Family doesn’t find him a threat.
He’s quite tall, isn’t he?
Aww…he wants to eat.
Daffodil is not quite bothered about Star Wars’ presence. This probably means he is not a threat.

“High Noon” At Midnight (last Night) 18th Jan 2013, by AnimalCare
Last night, I was still busy stock-checking after our event at University Malaya. So, I was going in and out of the room. Ginger was accompanying me as I stock-checked in the living room (can’t do it inside as the sprayers might spray on the stock). At one point, Ginger was sitting right outside the room grille when I was inside the room.
As I opened the grille to go out, Cow suddenly slipped past me, rushed out and before I could even scream, Cow had completely grabbed poor Ginger and was...

Quack Updates! 18th Jan 2013, by AnimalCare
It’s been sometime since Quack got adopted, but it looks like he is doing fine. He’s not bullying any of the cats in his new home, which is good.
Here are some updates from the adopter:
Quack is getting better on his own. He has gained more confidence and has started to roam freely in the house. He will go out to the kitchen whenever he feels hungry and even eats at the common kibbles place.
BUT connection with me and other human? Still a NO. I don’t think he is fierce. I thi...

(Narrated by the dog to its beloved master)
You're giving me a special gift,
So sorrowfully endowed,
And through these last few cherished days,
Your courage makes me proud....

Not only was he dumped because of the lump on his belly, the owner didn't even bother with a goodbye as he was handed over together with a cheap and rough chain to be dragged into the council cage and sent off for disposal.
