Ohana’s Adoption Drive Today 12th Jan 2013, by AnimalCare
Connie and I reached Ohana at about 9.30 am with our stock.
Here are all the pretty ladies at Ohana with some of Ohana’s fostered puppies (ready for adoption).
We’d like to thank Ms Tan Chooi Chooi for inviting us to open a booth today. In fact, we have a standing invitation every week, but we just don’t have the humanpower to open a booth on a weekly basis.

70 Gerbils Adopted From The Laboratory! (Dr Veeranoot Nissapatorn’s) 11th Jan 2013, by AnimalCare
It was on 27th March 2012 that we publicised these gerbils for adoption (from the laboratory in the university). These are gerbils who were due for euthanasia.

Why do we encourage adoption and discourage buying pets from pet shops?
1) Animals in pet shops usually come from breeders who breed intensively (2-3 times a year) in bad conditions i.e. cramped cages, no exercise or freedom of movement, no socialization, and limited medical attention.
