Updates at 1.51pm: From Carol: We got Koo and Rose to help and managed to get the remaining 4 puppies, on top of the the 2 i earlier caught. All 6 puppies available for adoption ! A rescue story with a happy ending to end the week with: Jas the monitor lizard.
Fishing hooks are not only harmful to fish. They can also cause a lot of damage and suffering to other wild animals. We were recently called on to rescue a young monitor lizard, found with a fishing hook painfully lodged deep inside his throat. Poor Jas, as we named him, required surgery to remove the hook.

Several months ago, National Parks Board approached SPCA to help with the stray dog population living in Ang Mo Kio Town Garden West. This was following feedback from residents in the area. Urgent Help Required: Mdm Hoo’s Dogs Need To Be Relocated

As you know, Mdm Hoo feeds about 200 dogs all over Kajang. A few days ago, she was attacked by some people. We are publicising the story here as Mdm Hoo needs help and advice.
More importantly, since the people who beat her up do not like her feeding the dogs, these dogs need to be relocated as soon as possible. Please help if you can.
