Ginger's Second Mange Jab
26th Apr 2011, by AnimalCare

While we were at Sunway Pyramid, Alex brought Ginger for his second mange jab:I took Ginger for her 2nd jab yesterday. There was a lot of pets and owners in the clinic yesterday so I waited for a bit. (Ginger even fell asleep in the carrier!) Her 2nd jab went smoothly without much fuss, and despite the more than an hour wait, it only lasted a couple of minutes! However, the vet expressed concern that Ginger had not gained much weight, despite having a great appetite. But I'm going to give her an...

Ginger Male Cat, Neutered
26th Apr 2011, by AnimalCare

A few days ago, Azna sent another cat (a male) to be neutered under our sponsorship.  See?  I'm a happy cat.  Neutered, but happy!  We neutered male cats are not so aggressive and we won't get prostate cancer so easily when we're older.  We're also more loving and we don't fight for girlfriends - girl-cats - who needs them!  But we will still fight to protect our territory - no compromise on that!Viva la CNRM!!

Nandhini's 2 Rescued Female Dogs, Spayed
26th Apr 2011, by AnimalCare

Nandhini's 2 rescued female dogs were spayed some time last week under our sponsorhip. We paid for the spaying charges and shared out the boarding with Nandhini.  The boarding was necessary as these dogs lived in a temple in Klang and the environment was not conducive for post-surgical recuperation.  These dogs have been giving birth at the temple and Nandhini has got many of the puppies adopted now (we sponsored the vaccinations), and we will help the new adopters with the spay-neuter ...

Training Prince
25th Apr 2011, by Noah's Ark CARES

It was in September when we first gathered to start our training sessions. Jazz and Adrian from APAW (http://athleticpawsllywood.shutterfly.com/) had generously offered to offer some guidance some of our volunteers in the aspect of dog training. Our first step was to train our own dogs and vice versa before we could start training and mangaging our other dogs in Noah's Ark. It was also an opportunity for both the dog and owner to forge a stronger bond and learn more about each other. We were tau...

Nandhini and I arrived sharp at 10am to set up our booth and we found that we were the only NGO there!  Andy Koh, of Petfinder.my, the organiser of the event, was already busy with all the technical details.  Coincidentally, PC Leong and his family was parked right next to us, so he helped us carry some of our stuff to the booth.  Thanks, PC. It was PC's first visit to Sunway Pyramid.  Pravinn, our longtime and ever-reliable volunteer, arrived soon and we ...

24th Apr 2011, by AnimalCare

Krsytal Teoh wrote to me sometime ago, requesting help to get some cats spayed-neutered.  These cats are strays who are being looked after by Krystal. The appointment was made for the first two and so Krystal brought two female cats to our panel vet on Friday, but one was found to be pregnant so she could not be spayed.  Please note that we do not sponsor the spaying of pregnant animals.  So, only one cat was spayed. Notice the slight notch on the ear?  This panel vet does a ...
