Kuchai Avenue Dogs Neutered, Both Doing Well 18th Apr 2012, by AnimalCare
Just received news from PAWS that both the Kuchai Avenue dogs have been neutered. The surgeries went well, and both are doing fine. We’re really happy to hear this.
The “couple” will be monitored for another day, and if no complications arise, arrangements will be made to send them back to the petstore owner who will look after them, probably on Friday.
All’s well that ends well now. No unwanted puppies from this couple.
Have also spoken to Ms Phong who will advise the pe...

What Do Cats Do On A Hot Day? 18th Apr 2012, by AnimalCare
It’s been super mighty hot these days, hasn’t it?
We are not regular air-cont users and we try not to use that cooling machine as far as possible, but we had it installed as a contingency plan to battle the REALLY hot days, which is a few times a year.
Today is such a day, and I turned it on because the heat is unbearable. But we keep the windows and door open for fresh air to circulate.
So, where is everyone on such a super hot day?
Bobby and Tiger are under the air-cont.
Cleo...

Very Urgent: Fosterer/Adopter Needed For An Infant Kitten (Michael Hor’s) 17th Apr 2012, by AnimalCare
A man by the name of Michael called me two days ago. He had found an infant kitten and was wondering if I could take it. I explained we are not a shelter but I could blog for a fosterer. I asked for details about the kitten and a photograph but none was sent. But he did ask how to nurse the kitten and I told him to purchase Toplife (it was Saturday, almost 7pm). I know Subang Pet Products sell it and they were still open, and Michael was in Subang Jaya at that time.
Then, I did not hear from Mic...

Dogfood For Meiji, From Healing Rooms 17th Apr 2012, by AnimalCare
Last week, Healing Rooms donated three packs of Orijen dogfood to any of the rescuers that we are supporting with our Food Fund. Since Meiji is in dire need of dogfood, we decided to give the three packs to her dogs.
It’s Orijen – really super premium food.
Meiji came down yesterday to send Herculis for his Heartworm treatment and for this round, Herculis needed two injections on two consecutive days. So, Meiji brought Herculis down yesterday and boarded a night for the two jabs. ...

Uncle Charles called even before I finished writing the earlier post about the Kuchai Avenue dogs. I drove to the clinic and Uncle Charles was waiting. Before that, I had already called the clinic to prepare them to receive the dogs and briefed them on what was needed.

All’s Well That Ends Well….(Kuchai Avenue DogS – There Are Two Of Them!) 17th Apr 2012, by AnimalCare
I shall start this off by thanking PAWS and Ms Phong who are totally instrumental in coordinating today’s rescue work and keeping me informed while I was at work.
You won’t believe this, but here’s the story.
The female dog is not paralysed!
Hooray!!
There are two of them – a male and a female and they are a couple.
These dogs are regarded as “guardians” of this neighbourhood and the residents there look after them well and they want them back.
There is a pets...
