Fund-Raising With Chinese New Year Cookies

Come Chinese New Year and it will be the season for eating cookies and giving cookies as a token of welcoming the Lunar New Year.
Our friend (and volunteer at events), Ooi Siew Ee, has very generously and graciously sourced HOME-MADE cookies for us to sell as part of our fund-raising efforts.
These cookies are home-made with SCS butter. There is no animal lard.
There are three varieties:
RM20 per jar
RM20 per box
(This is butter cookies coated with chocolate)
RM24 per box

How Infuriating…!!

I seldom lose my cool (even when dealing with………..) but this does it!
This person brought a cat for neutering at our panel vet under our FULL sponsorship today (not that she cannot afford it, since she works) AND makes another appointment for another two cats under our sponsorship for another day WITHOUT asking me if we can pay for it.

Sunrise…and Bobby And Cats Arrive At Bunny’s Place

This morning was the “big” move, that is, moving Bobby and the cats over to the new house before the movers turn up to move out the rest of the house.
The cats came back for food and I fed them first. Then, one by one, I put them into their respective carriers. Cleo put up a fight and was the last to be in. We almost thought we’d have to leave her behind and come back to get her this evening.

Jackson was picked up form the roadside of Old Klang Rd together with his 3 other siblings, they were only 2 weeks old and were put inside a box. They were crying for milk. their mother was no where to be seen, an obvious case of someone who did not spay their mother dog and ended up with a litter of unwanted puppies (All pet owners PLEASE SPAY/NEUTER YOUR PETS!). It’s been a month since Bunny started behaving strangely, ie. looking not his usual self and sleeping only upstairs.

The Doggies That We Lost

Case Number 1A big Bull dog was dumped at our shelter by one irresponsible person who claimed he rescued him from the street. This poor dog was obviously malnourished , skinny with ribs protruding only. He ate lots and lots of kibbles when we first fed him and he drank lots of water too. Helping Kim And Her Dogs

We seem to be starting this year with happy news and that’s really encouraging.
Recently, we subsidised the spay-neuter of eight of Kim’s dogs at her shelter. Kim is a single lady looking after 30+ dogs including a paralysed one.

Mei Leng rescued a little kitten (now named Jane) on New Year’s eve. Mei Leng needed a fosterer urgently as her dog, Perky, was trying to bite little Jane.
