So…how About Observing Veggie Friday Today? 2nd Dec 2011, by AnimalCare
A quote by the Roman Plutarch:
It is certainly not lions or wolves that we eat out of self-defense; on the contrary, we ignore these and slaughter harmless, tame creatures without stings or teeth to harm us.
For the sake of a little flesh we deprive them of sun, of light, of the duration of life to which they are entitled by birth and being.
If you declare that you are naturally designed for such a diet, then first kill for yourself what you want to eat.

Is Meat Tasty? 2nd Dec 2011, by AnimalCare
Source: VSS eNewsletter 1 Dec 2011
Many of your friends and family are confused, thinking people are omnivores, needing both meat and plants in their diet. We only appear to be omnivorous because we have the ability to “doctor up” meat with salt and sauces (barbecue, sweet and sour, marinara, etc.) sufficiently enough to make it palatable. Prove this for yourself. The next person you meet head-on who claims meat is “tasty,” stop him in his tracks and insist that he eat a ...

A Lovely Story 1st Dec 2011, by AnimalCare
Connie James shared this:
A True and lovely story
In 2003, police in Warwickshire, England opened a garden shed and found a whimpering, cowering dog. The dog had been locked in the shed and abandoned. It was dirty and malnourished, and had quite clearly been abused.
In an act of kindness, the police took the dog which was a female greyhound, to the Nuneaton Warwickshire Wildlife Sanctuary, which is run by a man named Geoff Grewcock, and known as a haven for abandoned, orphaned, or otherwise in ...

Don Don Is Not Well 1st Dec 2011, by AnimalCare
I went to the vet’s yesterday and was told Don Don is not well. The vet wasn’t in so I couldn’t ask what was wrong, but the assistant said it could be due to over-eating as he had been eating up other cats’ food.
Here’s Don Don, sitting quietly in the cage.
Get well soon, Don!
I suppose when you’re a clinic cat, you’d be susceptible to some of the diseases since the clinic is full of sick animals.
