The T-Cats 21st Mar 2019, by AnimalCare
I thought it would only be fair if Tabs, Heidi and Ginger also have a clan name.
We have the Cow Clan inside, so we have now given Tabs, Heidi and Ginger a clan name too – they will be known as the T-Cats.
Taiji Heidi
Therapy Tabs
Yes, Tabs is our therapy cat. She comes to you, sits on you and the whole world will instantly be bright, sunny and cheery.
Tofu Ginger
Ginger is the alpha, but he’s also soft like tofu. His whole body flops. But he doesn’t eat much, really.
So, th...

Bunny’s Daily Trips Out 21st Mar 2019, by AnimalCare
A human’s foot comes in handy as a cat’s leg rest.
Bunny chases Ginger and Heidi. Heidi is terrified of Bunny, but Ginger is not. He would just stand his ground but we have to quickly catch Bunny before he attacks Ginger. Two days ago, I was bitten by Bunny when I stopped him from charging towards Ginger. Luckily no tetanus jab was needed.
Bunny remembers that Tabs is an ally, not an enemy. So, Tabs is totally spared.
Bunny operates on his own rules. He is master of all he surveys...

Cow Is FIV+, Needs Tooth Extraction 21st Mar 2019, by AnimalCare
In 2016, during his FLUTD treatment, the vet noticed that Cow had a “very bad tooth” on the right side (upper palate). But he said that he would not put Cow under general anaesthesia just to remove the tooth. He said if Cow had to go on GA for any other procedure, then that tooth should be removed.
I’ve remembered this, but Cow did not have any procedure that needed GA.
Now, with Vincent gone, I’ve learnt that tooth and gum problems can lead to kidney disease. It&rs...

After China Ban, E-Waste Rains On Malaysian Soil 21st Mar 2019, by Roots & Shoots Malaysia
“Even more alarming is the fact that these plants are located close to residential areas, and the emissions from the waste could cause serious health problems for the people living there.
E-waste, which is in the “scheduled waste” – waste which is intractable and difficult to dispose of without special technology – could also have an adverse impact on the environment, contaminating natural resources as well as aqua and marine life.”

Happy #WorldForestryDay! When was the last time you spent your leisure time in a forest and enjoyed the peace it offered? Do you still remember the calmness, soothing colours of leaves and plants surrounding you, as well as the fresh air and sound of birds and insects calling?
As we rush about with our daily lives, it’s easy to lose sight of the artificial bubble that city life has created. how towns and cities can be for bad toward our wellbeing, especially air and noise pollution.

"We Don't Have Any Food,. Not For Dogs. Not For Ca.. 21st Mar 2019, by The Great Animal Rescue Chase
"WE DON'T HAVE ANY FOOD,
NOT FOR DOGS
NOT FOR CATS"
*************************************
The small but mighty Serbian rescue team who has laid hands on a whopping 7,000 animals now has a big problem. They are out of donations and the pet supply stores will not let them purchase more kibble until they clear their debt of 600 Euros (about $685).
"Is there any chance you could help us with a little food?" said Lela Bucek who is a founding member of the Organiza...

“Dia Sudah Mendapat Kasih Sayang” 21st Mar 2019, by AnimalCare
I would like to share a very simple message here, which I learnt from one of our applicants this evening.
He is not highly schooled, but he rescues and rehomes cats.
He was very sad this evening, because one of his newly rescued kittens just passed away. He had been nursing this kitten when the kitten had diarrhoea and the kitten recovered, but passed on of something else later.
I told him it’s okay, it happens. At least he has tried his very best and that’s all that matters.
And he ...

Municipalities, sigh…seem to be the same everywhere…
Looks like they also had a similar “Pulau Ketam” episode last time. Sometimes, it takes a tragedy for change to happen.

2 Nights Ago When We Were Out Getting Our Dinner, .. 20th Mar 2019, by TNRM Malaysia
2 nights ago when we were out getting our dinner, we passed by some shop lots in Rawang. We heard a faint meowing sound. We stopped and checked. Then there was another one but this time we were sure it was from a kitten. We followed the trail of the meowing and found this little fella. She was inside and the grill door was locked. We used a long stick and pulled her out. We took her home. She couldn’t have possibly survived on wet food thrown on the floor and some milk in a lid of a container ...
