From Huey:

Sometime last week, Steven contacted me regarding 4 street dogs that he has been feeding near his house in Batu Maung, Penang. He mentioned that he was worried because MPPP (Majiis Perbandaran Pulau Pinang) dog catcher team has been visiting his housing area quite frequently lately, probably because of some complaints from the residents. He couldn't keep them as he already has 5 dogs in his house. According to him, these dogs, although not particularly friendly, are not aggressive as well - basically just want to have nothing to do with human I guess. :)

Anyway, fast forward. After helping him to post up some info on Facebook Page last weekend, a shocking news was in the newspaper on Wednesday:

And not to mention some denial and non-tolerate comments on Thursday:

I immediately called up Steven to check on the dogs, and he told me he was at work when that happened, and he wasn't sure if all 4 are safe. But he said 2 of them (a black and a white male) haven't been showing up to get their dinner since Monday, which, they normally do when he opens his door. So at this point of time, we have only 2 dogs - 1 tan female, and another pup (about 9 months old) who is very timid (quite afraid to get close to people, including Steven) and had hurt its rear leg a little (limping occasionally) but is recovering. Steven rescued her, quite a while ago beside a huge drain on a rainy day. She was already limping back then.

If it's OK for you, I'd like to ask for your help to post this S.O.S on AnimalCare. It'd be best to get adopter for them (of course) but a fosterer will do too. I attached herewith 2 photos from Steven. He could only see them at night and the lightning is, of course, not so good. The first photo with 2 dogs, I believe the one of the left is the white male dog who hasn't been showing up since Monday. The one on the right should be the tan female.

Another photo is the timid pup with a limping leg.
Steven can be reached on his mobile phone 012-4852202 (SMS only due to his working environment).

Steven will subsidise the cost of spay-neuter and vaccination should anyone wish to adopt these dogs.

Please help, if you can.

If I may add, please click on the links above and see how some local councils treat the strays.  We don't want that happening, do we?

Spay-neuter, please.
CNRM, please.

Capture and kill is not the way to solve problems.
