"Do turtles have ears?"
Yes, they do! Sea turtles, terrapins, softshell turtles and tortoises have ears. They do not have external ears but they have a thin "flap" or "scale" located behind their eyes, that covers their internal ear bones.
Their inner ear can distinguish certain wavelengths (sound) and vibration in the water and on land. It helps them navigate underwater, and detect changes in water pressure that might indicate a predator is nearby.

Red-Eared Sliders (RES) are infamously listed as the top 100 worst invasive species in the world.
