Getting back to my interesting anaemic case load. I was still mentally trying to get my head around ‘Myff‘ and what I could have done better in her management, then I admitted another seriously anaemic patient.

A deformed puppy rescued from a garbage bag has finally learnt to walk.Little Harper was saved from a certain death when a woman in Sanford, Florida, saw a man selling pit-bull puppies outside a Save-A-Lot holding a squirming trash bag.When she asked him what was in the bag he at first refused to show her but he finally handed over the bag containing a puppy so deformed it couldn’t walk or hold up its head. About a week ago, a friend asked if I had anymore RetroMAD1 to spare for a vet who had five parvo puppies. Four had already died, and one was hanging on. I only had a very tiny amount left but this was sufficient already. Ever since Indy came back from the vet's, he seemed to have lost a bit of his confidence. He no longer sleeps on top of the car in the porch. Rather, he prefers to sleep under the neighbour's car. Jinxed With Atypical Bleeding Cases

I really don’t know what I did to deserve so many complicated bleeding cases over the past two weeks. I was starting to think that our in-house blood machine was not working because every case I handled seemed to be suffering from anaemia (low red blood cell count). I had to collect blood from a perfectly healthy patient to check that our machine was not playing games with me.
I have had to give two blood transfusions in a span of a week and recommended a few more but owners could not...
