AUSTRALIAN SUPPORTERS VISIT SOI DOG IN PHUKET!... A few days ago Australian supporters - Marika & Bill flew to Phuket all the way from Sydney, Australia. Visiting Soi Dog was high on their agenda & the dogs thoroughly enjoyed all the attention! Marika & Bill have their own small rescue group (Paws for Thought) in Australia where they re-home many small & older dogs, so a visit to our old age dogs & puppy run was a highlight of their day! Medical Sponsorship For Maxie And Super (Maslinda Abd Talib’s)

Super and Maxie are mother-daughter from the Super Family rescued by Koo from the five-foot way of Shah Alam.
They are currently being fostered by Maslinda Abd Talib.
They were brought in for treatment last Friday. Maxie had been ill with the Herpes virus earlier but has recovered from that. This time, both mother-and-daughter had fever.

CHRISI's BLOSSOMED INTO A BEAUTIFUL GIRL!.... Little Chrisi arrived at Soi dog when she was just 6 months old, suffering malnutrition & mange. She'd been found on the streets by some Australian tourists. She charmed us all on arrival with her wrinkly little face & sweet personality. She was shy, yet very eager for human company & used to scoot along the ground 7 curl up at our feet.
Chrisi's now 15 months old, having spent the last 10 months at the shelter. She's blossomed into a beautiful girl...

THE SAD STORY OF "MORK"... Gill got a call this week from a European man to say that a dog outside the "Catch" restaurant in Surin Beach needed euthanizing! She asked him why & was told he had been attacked & that all down 1 side of the dog there were open wounds. Gill explained that we do not euthanise animals without a vet seeing them, trying to save them is our top priority. At the end of the day it would be our vets decision, if that decision needed to be made.

Our Equation tshirt arrived last week and as of now, we’ve sold out on S36 (teenage Sports size).
We cater for 14 sizes, but will later be downsizing it to only 9 sizes because managing 14 sizes in five designs is just too much work for me! Storage space is another problem too.
With 8 sizes, I will rename it using the usual XS, S, M, L and XL. But this will only happen much later after all the existing stocks are sold out.

Will 2012 finally be the year that brings forth desperately-needed enhancements on our half-century old regulations?
