Lydia has also taken Max back to foster in order to facilitate the frequency and intensity of the physiotherapy sessions.

Max has been eating well and playing a lot with his toys when he’s in his pen. He’s very comical when he gets excited and barks at his toys and “talks” to them in excitement.

Neutering Sponsorship For Creamy, Rescued Male Cat (Mary Yap Mie Ling’s)

We had earlier subsidised the medical treatment for Creamy, a male cat rescued by Mary Yap and sent to the vet for the treatment of ulcers, a bad flu and dehydration. Creamy recovered and recently, Mary got him neutered.
We have fully sponsored his neutering fee of RM100.
I got neutered!!
Back in the community.
Creamy now lives as a community cat in Mary’s neighbourhood.

A Request From Pak Din (help Needed)

Pak Din (Nordin Hashim) comes under our Food Fund. He is 64 years old, unemployed and has no proper home. Pak Din lives in Gombak in a make-shift shack (which our reader, Connie James, very kindly refurbished for him recently). Although he barely has enough for himself, he looks after the stray dogs and cats in his community despite being ostracised because of cultural prejudices (against dogs) in this community.

Dooby arrived at the shelter in a terrible state, poor love. He had a dreadful fungal infection all over his hairless body & weeping sores. Just look at his sad face, he's been wandering the streets for many months in terrible pain & discomfort. Yet another example of the importance of Soi Dog's sponsorship program.

DUKE THE HEROIC DOG SAVES BABY
A wonderful example of an adopted mixed-breed dog that saved the baby of the family that showered him with love. Another awesome reason to ADOPT a canine buddy!

On 21 September, a total of 80 painted terrapin hatchlings were released at the Setiu river.
The activity was organised by WWF-Malaysia and Setiu Women's Association (PEWANIS) and was carried out with students of Kampong Mangkok Primary School and local community members.

DOES KOBE GET ON WITH LITTLE DOGS?... This is a question we were asked by a potential adopter. Kobe was rescued from the illegal Dog Meat Trade & she's a super friendly dog. We let her meet 2 of our smallest residents - O-Ching & Mayo- watch their first encounter together & see what happened.
