"My work includes pretty much anything that has to do with turtles, such as nightly turtle nesting monitoring covering nine prime nesting beaches in Malacca with the help of passionate peeps (including local community members, graduates, interns and volunteers) to protect the turtle eggs from being poached, and ensure best hatchery practices are carried out to maximise the number of baby turtles hatched. We even successfully track baby turtles at night using a kayak!"

On behalf of all the dogs and cats in our care, a massive thank you to US supporter Tiffany Hill, who for the second time, has fundraised for Soi Dog through her Canine and Cocktails event.
This year, Tiffany’s event, held at the Cultra Event Centre in Tacoma, Washington in the US raised a great total of US$1,000 for Soi Dog!

My name is Ronnie. I am a 5 year old street dog, which means I have never had an owner to care for me or a place to call home. Every day has been a fight for survival and I very nearly lost the fight when I became seriously ill.

My name is Donte and I am a 6 year old boy. I have lived my whole life on the streets of Phuket, Thailand and have never had an owner to care for me.

I once had an owner - he bought me from a puppy farm and one year later, dumped me outside the Soi Dog shelter when his new girlfriend told him she didn’t like me. An elderly lady found Ronnapee in the south of Phuket. Poor Ronnapee was suffering from severe mange and malnutrition. When the lady first saw Ronnapee lying in a gutter, she assumed he was dead but then spotted signs of life.
Neighbours called Soi Dog and Animal Rescue Officer Khun Thep picked him up shortly thereafter. Ronnapee has now responded well to treatment and is much happier than when found by the side of the road!
