A Sumptuous Sardine-Chicken Dinner For Vincent! 5th Dec 2018, by AnimalCare
Okay, so I got it all wrong for the earlier dinner.
I think what Vincent wants is freshly steamed sardines and chicken essence (also freshly steamed), so I did a batch.
The keyword here is “freshly steamed”.
As though Vincent knew that the steamed food had cooled, he came into the kitchen and started mewing.
Yes, mewing and rubbing at my leg!
So I quickly took the bowl out of the wok and proceeded to mash up the fish and chicken for him. This batch has some Morton’s Lite Salt a...

Photos From Soi Dog Foundation's Post 5th Dec 2018, by Soi Dog Foundation
The story of Kittyeye is unfortunately becoming a common reality for many streets dogs in Thailand. Every day dogs are brought into the Soi Dog hospital, fighting for their lives, from being struck and injured by a motor vehicle. Life on the streets is tough enough for young puppies like Kittyeye. In addition to finding food, water and shelter, they have to protect themselves against numerous dangers, including cars.
Kittyeye was wandering the streets, most likely looking for food when he was ...

Vincent’s Day 5th Dec 2018, by AnimalCare
Breakfast at 5.30am today – a mixture of canned, homecooked (steamed fish and chicken) and even raw food.
I managed to lace the food with Clindamycin so that I don’t have to use the syringe. I must say…I was so, so lucky that he continued eating and did not walk away.
Ate again at 9.30am. I laced this with Semintra and I cannot believe that I was lucky again! Vincent seems to love the steamed sardines.
4.30pm – ate again. I laced it with Clindamycin again, but my luck...

We named her Le Le (ä¹ä¹) now, it means happiness in Mandarin and we just want her to be happy for the rest of her life. Le Le also has a sister now, which we adopted after the previous cruel owner ran away and abandoned her at home. They are n...

Fossil, Forever My 1. We Are Always Happy To Recei.. 5th Dec 2018, by SPCA Singapore
FOSSIL, FOREVER MY #1
We are always happy to receive updates from owners who adopted their pets from us. Hence, we were delighted to receive a paw-sitive review from a cat owner who adopted one of our longer-staying residents, Fossil the cat, two months ago.
As a first-time cat owner, she appreciated how our shelter staff members helped introduce her to a cat which would best match her lifestyle. They recommended Fossil, an eight-year-old adult cat who came to SPCA in 2016. Fossil loves human ...

Annual Semporna Shark Survey 5th Dec 2018, by WWF Malaysia
WWF's Annual Shark Survey continues in Sipadan Island this year with the help of Sabah Parks and Scuba Junkie Dive Centre.
We would like to extend our gratitude to our partners in joining us this trip. Studies have shown that when Marine Protected Areas are enforced and managed; reef sharks can show a fast recovery as they exhibit site fidelity and do not travel a wide geographical range. We hope to see more recovery of these reef sharks in a long term!
Over the years, with much attention giv...
