As you know, Daffodil is completely at home now, after straying the streets for more than 10 years before we moved into this neighbourhood in 2011.
Rosie was the first to invite herself into our compound. This was followed by her brother, Ginger, who came in to ask for help – he had been bitten by Mr Quack and the sore was turning gangrenous. So, Ginger came to the patio and sat inside the cage. How smart is that, right?

FOSTERER NEEDED!
This fella was abandoned on a highway and a kind rescuer took him in. She is currently boarding him at a vet. He has skin problems and needs to be fostered for 1 or 2 months before we can put him for adoption. If anyone can help please let us know!

Annually, every 3rd Saturday of each August month is proclaimed as International Homeless Animals' Day. This year, we will run a month long neutering campaign with the hope of encouraging as many pet owners as possible to neuter/spay their pets. Neutering Vouchers of RM150 each for dogs, RM50 for tomcats and RM100 each for female cats will be given to help subsidize pet owners. Vouchers given will only be valid for a month from the date issued. To qualify, the following will be required.

The 29th of July is a day dedicated to celebrating the existence of tigers and to spread awareness on their endangered status.

1. Today, there are more tigers in captivity than in the wild.
2. Only around 3,200 tigers are believed to be left in the wild.

SWIM CHALLENGE COMPLETE!
Cheers to the swim team and the amazing volunteers! Apart from the slight lightning interruption on Thursday, the swim team swam continuously, attempting to max out the number of laps.

This month, we are receiving the Primary 1 pupils of Boon Lay Garden Primary School at the ACRES Wildlife Rescue Centre (AWRC), to bring them on a Learning Journey towards caring for animals. These young boys and girls are not little at all when it comes to learning!

1. Razor (top left), an insectivorous bat, was spotted resting in the same spot for a couple of days, possibly stranded within a contained environment.
