The ACRES rescue team have just recently picked up a Chinese Soft-shell turtle. He was found at Sembawang beach park, crawling along the beach. This is could possibly indicate that he could have been a victim of illegal animal liberation practices. He was found with ulcers and sores all over his carapace and his plastron has lacerations.The sores and ulcers are also emitting an foul smell.

Ginger To The Vet’s

So after Ivan and Justin left for their new home, Ginger and I went to the vet’s. Ginger went into the carrier without so much of a fuss. The poor boy didn’t know I was taking him to the vet’s.
I also had to take Ginger to another vet as the nearer vet was fully booked for surgery.

This morning, I was conducting a lab class in the computer lab when I had dismissed the class and while the students were leaving, a white cat sauntered into the computer lab!
The students exclaimed and were quite delighted (as young people often are), but the college does not look kindly upon animals within its premises and already, the next lab instructor was asking the students to chase the cat out.

More than 2 weeks after Suzzie's return back home to her family, we headed down for the second time to check on her. It wasn't hard to spot her due to her distinct left hand; post rehabilitation. BUT! that didn't put her at a disadvantage! She blended in so well with her family that you wouldn't even have known that this was the macaque who fractured her hand, lost all her 4 fingers, underwent 2 surgeries and 4 months of rehabilitation due to an illegal snare.
