We also wish to share with everyone that by nature, cats are loners and can be very defensive and protective of themselves. Hence, to “expect” a cat to integrate and make friends with other cats, in a way, is rather unfair to the cat, as cats are not social animals to begin with.

Medical Subsidy For Rescued Injured Dog (Stacy Tay Siew Hon’s)

Stacy Tay called me yesterday requesting financial help for a rescued dog she found at the market area in the morning. She brought the dog to the vet’s and the estimated cost was RM2000. According to Stacy, surgery is required for the dog as severe injury was sustained in the lower part of his body.

In the lead up to the international World Animal Day, SMU PAW (the group who helped us organize our WAD2013's stage shows and competitions) is holding a cake auction!

This week at AWRC, we are very happy to let everyone know about our Giant Asian pond turtles first night out in their outdoor enclosures. As some of you might know, we have been in the process of constructing an outdoor sanctuary for the animals in AWRC with the help of volunteers.As the project comes to a close, we have begun trials of bringing the animals to the outdoor sanctuary to slowly let them adapt back to the natural environment.
