Going Back To Basics 8th Sep 2013, by AnimalCare
AnimalCare started as a Neutering Fund way back in May 2009. From there, we expanded it to include medical treatment, hence it became a Medical Fund. Soon after that, needy applicants requested petfood so we started a Food Fund as well.
However, in the last few months, the number of applicants for neutering and medical subsidies had surged very significantly resulting in the amount of medical subsidies paid out being double of what it used to be. This surge also coincided with the Berjaya Funds ...

HALLOWEEN WEBS CAN BE DANGEROUS!
This Western Screech Owl became entangled in Halloween netting and was found hanging upside down right outside the front door of a California home.
“When we opened the door he just hung there and blinked at us!” the homeowner said.
The Marin Humane Society was called in and a humane officer gently snipped away the fibers that tied the little owl to the porch. The owl was then taken to the wonderful wildlife experts at WildCare in San Rafael.
Hall...

MOTHER CAT & KITTEN TO BE REUNITED TODAY!
After 3 weeks of trying to trap an illusive kitten who fled during a late night rescue when a humane trap malfunctioned, last night there was finally a sigh of relief when the final kitten was caught.
The cats had been living on the grounds of a meat market and we were first alerted to the situation by someone who reported that there had been threats that rat poison would be used to exterminate the animals. Though we could not confirm that threat, ...

Oh No! There Was Fur Flying All Over!! 7th Sep 2013, by AnimalCare
There was a huge fight at the patio this morning. It was the unmistakable shrill sound of catfight and it was between Mr G and Vincent. They were locked in fierce battle.
Mr G had been going on the aggressive for the past few days. He attacked Heidi and Timmy, and Timmy took it out on poor Daffodil last night, cornering the poor girl onto a pile of books.
This morning, luckily I was around and the water-gun was on hand to do its job. I sprayed water at Mr G and that broke up the fight. The wa...

The Nutri+Gen Chitosan Is A Big Hit! 7th Sep 2013, by AnimalCare
This small little sample is only 12g and it says on the tube to give 2g to a “small pet” and 4g to a “medium pet”. I suppose it’s safer to start small, hence, 2g, which means I can use this tube 6 times.
Bunny LOVED it and asked for more!
Gosh…it smells like the seasoning in instant noodles.
I gave Cow and Tiger too.
The rest of the brood doesn’t need it.
But I’ve ordered a big tube already, for Cow, Bunny, Tiger and Timmy. Maybe Ginger nee...
