Updates On 10th Jul 2013 10th Jul 2013, by SPCA Singapore
We received a call from a concerned member of the public who had found a small bird at a shop-house along Tiong Bahru Road. Our Animal Rescue Officer arrived on the scene and found the little fledgling, chirping away and asking for food. He brought the bird back to our shelter and we fed it some mealworms and baby bird food. Wanting to get professional advice from the wildlife experts, we contacted the good folks over at ACRES: Animal Concerns Research and Education Society (Singapore), who read...

We are appealing to the Public to help find her a shelter/home as her condition is longer suitable to be released back on the streets. If you're able to give a hand to help this poor girl, please send us a PM or call ...

Don't get a pet "for a birthday present" or "just because my kids wants it", because keeping a pet needs prior planning, preparing & life-time commitment!

The Task Of Feeding Willy 10th Jul 2013, by AnimalCare
I was a little late this morning and the morning started with Mr Zurik and Vincent locking horns at the patio. But I managed to quickly defuse the situation and everyone was happily eating within minutes.
Then I went outside to look for Willy.
Husband was at the playgound doing his taiqi and he indicated that Mr Zurik had come and Willy had fled.
Poor Willy…
I called, waited, shook the kibble jar….there was no Willy.
I went across the road to the playground, called, waited and shook...

Signals That A Dog May Be About To Attack 9th Jul 2013, by AnimalCare
http://online.wsj.com/article/SB100014241278873246 37504578567414083664112.html

Norm Phelps is my favourite writer on animal rights and protection. I know there are many, but perhaps I can relate to what he writes because he is Buddhist, hence, whatever he writes comes from the premise of compassion more than “correctness...
