Abuse And Neglect: Who Should I Call? SPCA? | Amanda Coffin | PetFinder.my WAGazine 5th Jul 2013, by PetFinder.my
Did you discover PET ABUSE or NEGLECT?
Amanda Coffin shares insightful tips on effective actions you can undertake, how SPCA Selangor handles the abuse reports and the confines of their authority.

Day 9 Of Mr Zurik’s Course Of Antibiotics 5th Jul 2013, by AnimalCare
Mr Zurik was waiting at the patio, sitting on Timmy’s chair this morning.
He jumped down when I brought out the food and he started intimidating poor Vincent.
I carried Mr Zurik back onto the chair to eat, but he jumped down.
He wanted to be with everyone else, I guess.
I’m watching…
Timmy quickly finished his food and we had to play the merry-go-round again, with me chasing him away from trying to snatch food from the others.
There’s noise from the roof…it...

Cleo Makes The Snack Call…and Everybody Gets! 5th Jul 2013, by AnimalCare
Bunny & Friends are very smart.
They have a system going.
And this refers to the snack calls.
They know who to send to make the calls.
If they want a snack from my son, they send Bunny. If from my daughter, they send Cow. If from me, well…anyone would do. Maybe Indy?
But if it’s from my husband, they send Cleo.
This is how a Cleo Call works…
Step 1: Look at human and whine.
Step 2: Send someone to the pantry slab and start LOOKING towards the room. Look hard…until...

Pandan City Furries’ TNA (Trap-Neuter-Adopt) Programme 4th Jul 2013, by AnimalCare
Isn’t this wonderful?
A sharing by Metta Cats: https://www.facebook.com/PandanCityFurries (it’s in Johor!)
If in every town or district, animal lovers get together and start something like this, many street animals will be helped. Then every town would have its own small (but well-supported) animal charity unit, something the townsfolk can be proud of.
TNA (Trap-Neuter-Adopt) is the most ideal method of control for Malaysia, especially when we still have by-laws that regard free-r...

Frontlining The Patio Family 4th Jul 2013, by AnimalCare
If you remember, the vet said Mr Zurik had a bad ear mite infestation and he was “Advocated” right after he was neutered (while still under anaesthesia).
Unfortunately, I have a phobia of using spot-ons. This time, I opted for the time-tested Frontline. After all, Mr Zurik did not get any burn spot with Advocate.
So, I applied the Frontline spot-on on Timmy, Ginger and Rosie.
No struggle.
I should apply it on Daffodil too as I see her scratching quite a bit, but I know it would be...

Roger's Tail Was Bleeding 4th Jul 2013, by Second Chance
Roger was found bleeding from his tail last week and had to be brought in to Dr Lee's clinic. We were informed by Dr Lee that the bleeding could have been caused by Roger biting at his own tail to relief some severe itchiness he was going through. In order to prevent further infection, his tail had to be amputated.....on the flip side, we do think he looks younger and sexier now with a rounded stub for a tail (check out the last photo :) ) Roger's tail was bleeding non-stopMrs Lai and ...

A Night Visitor At The Patio 4th Jul 2013, by AnimalCare
I waited all evening but Mr Zurik did not appear.
Neither did the shrews.
Just when I was about to call it a night, I looked out in the patio and…
Hmm…Timmy is not on his chair.
There’s a tabby sitting there.
Must be Vincent.
Wait…it’s not Vincent…
Oh gosh…hey, it’s Mr Zurik!
Wait, Mr Zurik, wait…let me get you some food (laced with medicine…he he he.)
Makan, silakan…makan!
Everyone wanted some too.
Oh well…
Vincent was...
