Bobby’s Acupuncture Today
23rd Feb 2012, by AnimalCare

Bobby had his fortnightly acupuncture session by Dr Susanna today.  Not much objection this time.  I notice Bobby has actually improved a lot (clinically) after all these acupuncture sessions. Also, the daily evening walks in the sun help a lot. It feels like he has more muscle now, and his appetite is much, much improved.  Prick, prick…  Happy and relaxed after the session.

The Blueys – Spayed On Monday And Doing Well! (Andy Lew’s)
23rd Feb 2012, by AnimalCare

Blueys news is always happy news, isn’t it? Well, the Blueys were spayed on Monday and they boarded a night at the vet’s too. Andy brought them to a clinic near his place and apparently, the rate is only RM180 for each spaying and it includes one night’s boarding (that’s really good, right?). This vet uses the flank (side) method and also provides the e-collar. Some vets do not use the e-collar as it stresses the animal, but some do. In one case sponsored by us, the cat b...

One Female Puppy Spayed And Adopted (Aaron Lee Szion Jin’s)
23rd Feb 2012, by AnimalCare

From Aaron on 16th January: The two puppies appeared at the same time one night in front of my house. When they appeared, they were little puppies and I decided to keep them because I cant stand knowing they might die running on the streets like that.

So, few days later, i brought them to the vet and doctor said they looked around 3 months old. And we had to give them some vaccination jabs as they were puppies, suggested the doctor. As time passed by, my family and I decided to keep them. C...

Two Kittens For Adoption (Mavis Ong’s)
22nd Feb 2012, by AnimalCare

From Mavis Ong (mavis168@yahoo.com): Hi Kah Yein, We found two stray and very forlorn kittens outside our house today.  We brought them to the vet to be checked, cleaned, and fed. The vet will house them for a few days but then they will need new homes.  We are unable to take them as we already have two dogs (who dislike cats). There’s two of them – in the photos, there’s one grey kitten that is much weaker than the other hence I could not get a good photo of him/her. ...

As you know, Maslinda fosters and looks after many cats and kittens in her neighbourhood. Recently, she agreed to foster the Shah Alam family, which I’ve named Super (the mother), Jamie and Maxie (the girls) and Sunny (the boy).
