Oreo charmed our camera crew with his sweet, cuddly nature which earned him a spot on our rescue boat after his video was seen by volunteer "Niz" in the UK, who paid for his journey. Breaking News 1200+ Dogs Rescued From Smugglers..

Over 1,200 dogs have been intercepted in 2 separate raids by Thai coalition forces comprising the Royal Thai Police, the Royal Thai Navy Border Patrol with support from members of Animal Activists Alliance Thailand have arrested international dog meat smugglers in the Ban Phang District of Nakorn Phanom Province. Baggy Is Suddenly Unwell

This morning Baggy refused to eat and her body felt warm to the touch. Something did not feel right. So I took her immediately to the vet’s the moment the clinic opened.  Waiting for our turn. Dogfood For Kelly And Jacinta’s Dogs In Tanjong Rambutan

This is one area which I personally feel very strongly against – animal testing. Not only is it extremely cruel, results obtained through animal testing is often not replicable to humans. Tweedle Dee had an early 4am start this morning for her trip to Munich. Rescued with her twin sister (who flies to UK later this year) when still a puppy, from the dog meat traders in August last year. They were both taken to SDF from Nakhom Phanom with temporary blindness but made full recovery.

As many of you know Soi Dog has launched the Trade of Shame campaign to bring to an end, once and for all to the inhumane and barbaric dog meat trade. The campaign has gone well. Since the campaigns start in August 2011 more arrests of smugglers have been made than in the preceding 15 years!
