Today we spent a lovely morning with the students, teachers and mums from Chatsworth East school, who came to the AWRC for an educational visit. Luckily the rain held off, so we were able to spend time in the Outdoor Conservation Classroom learning all about native wildlife before sitting down for a talk about the wildlife trade and how we can help save wild animals. Here's a photo of Anbu, the Director of the AWRC, demonstrating how we rescue and handle pythons!

Couldn’t quite get a perfect gopher photo to show you, so I’ll let this Heffalump show you below…
Criteria: All paws/toes must be as close as possible.
That’s close enough.
If one perfects the Gopher Pose, one would be able to balance on the edge of any surface and do practically anything (eat, sleep, etc.).

Tomorrow - Wednesday 4 April at around 8:30 am, the Navy League Phuket and the US Navy volunteers from the USS Sampson will go to Soi Dog for a COMSERV (Community Service) project with 30 liters of paint, rollers, brushes and all supplies to paint the new dog runs and buildings!

He’ll call for me at the kitchen window.
Then, he waits at the Stargate, still calling.
My brood goes out to meet him, of course.
And he gets his food.
But it is not enough, he says.

10 Packs Of Dogfood For Kelly And Jacinta’s Dogs (Ipoh)

On 1st April, we sponsored 10 packs of dogfood for Kelly and Jacinta’s dogs from our Food Fund.
Kelly and Jacinta’s main shelter is in Tanjong Rambutan, and over in Ipoh, they have a smaller shelter and Kelly also feeds many strays in the vicinity.
Our volunteer visited their main shelter last month and was impressed with how well the dogs are looked after.

Bunny was still upset today as we had closed the cover of the washing machine, making it out of bounds for him.

The basket is too small, but he loves it. And he prefers this to all the other baskets. By the way, it is a Daiso basket.
