Project ADORE ("ADOption and REhoming of dogs in HDB flats"), first mooted by the SPCA and the Action for Singapore Dogs (ASD) in 2011, piloted in November 2012 and formalised in late May 2014, has paved the way for more suitable, local shelter dogs to find forever, public housing homes. This is precisely why vaccinating 70% of the stray population is the most effective way to combat the spread of rabies. And why culling might make it worse.
A healthy vaccinated stray population acts as a barrier to prevent the spread of the disease.

FIVE PUPPIES, 4 months old for adoption.
Mother dog is a stray, who has been neutered at no cost to the rescuer under our Vax & Spay fund. The fund also covered the cost of vaccinations for the 5 pups.
