Remember these guys?
We worked alongside the Fire & Rescue Dept last week to rescue them from a drain. We had them transported to a vet, and the pups have since adopted by a lovely lady (a friend of the person who spotted the pups and reported their situation!).
Sigh, another happy ending for two little pups :)

Just last week (on 28 May), we went to the rescue of a community cat seen perched on the 3rd floor ledge of a residential block at Yunnan Crescent. Our rescuers, YaoHuang and Eswaran, helped to haul the cat from the ledge inwards and into a carrier using a catchpole. The cat, a ear-tipped grey-white tabby, and found to be alright and unharmed, was released safely on the ground floor shortly before getting reunited with its companion community cat in the premises.

Did you catch Cesar Millan in KL? We provided the use of our new center so his team could audition dogs and their owners for the show, and our 4 dogs and puppy also appeared on his show! Our staff were backstage the whole time managing them and helping with the other dogs when necessary. We also had a merchandise/education booth outside, yay!
Cesar has been kind enough to sign 10 SPCA tshirts for auction, stay tuned for more news on this!

Is The Tide Turning For Tabs?

You all know that Tabs has to endure being bullied by the Cows in Bunny’s Place. That’s the way it is, because Tabs doesn’t know how to fight back.
Cow bullies her, Bunny bullies her, Cleo steals her food all the time (unless we stop it, which we now do). Pole is neutral – she doesn’t bully anyone. She’s good.
So, poor Tabs…
But that’s just the way things are in Bunny’s Place.

Thanks so much to the Jonathan family for adopting Sonic! She was difficult for us to rehabilitate because she was so terrified of everyone and everything. After many weeks of hard work we built her confidence to the point where she could go for walks and come to our adoption drives. It's all paid off as Sonic has found a perfect Forever Home where she hangs out with the cats, has plenty of laps to sit and gets fed rotisserie chicken!
