On The Home Front 3rd Sep 2011, by AnimalCare
Today, there were no cases at the vet's and I had the whole day at home. It's been a sweltering hot day. Looks like nobody wants the favourite chair tonight. Watching Desperate Housewives is a treat for me. Note: Cleo is on top. This morning, apparently, Cleo scolded everyone in the bedroom. You see, it's her duty to wake us up every morning and don't anybody try to upstage her in doing her job. This morning, Cow, Bunny and Indy got ticked off by her (and the three crouched in fear). Sh...

Poor Thing...and How Many Are There Out There? 3rd Sep 2011, by AnimalCare
This evening, we went out to the food court for dinner. This is where I have my lunch on all work-days and I often see cats but they are usually well-fed. I've seen the Wan Tan Mee stall workers giving them shredded chicken and that's always a heartwarming sight. But this evening, I saw a rather emaciated Calico kitten. She appeared to be very hungry and was scavenging for food by going from table to table. You see her? That little boy in red was dropping her bits of his food (bless the littl...

Feedback About Posting Comments On RWS FB Page 3rd Sep 2011, by Animal Concerns Research & Education Society (ACRES)
Hi all, thank you so much for your feedback. We hope that everyone will post comments on the RWS FB page and keep it polite. For the past few months and not only today, RWS has been deleting some comments and negative postings on their wall and keeping the positive ones which state how people are looking forward to see the dolphins at RWS. This sends a false message to the 147,000 RWS FB fans, that people are supportive of their plans to hold dolphins captive. ACRES has tried every very bes...

Few days ago, Eileen introduced Mr Ramanathen, a retiree who came to the shelter to adopt Joey, his wife fell in love with Joey at first sight and refused to look further. Please Help This Poor Shitzu 3rd Sep 2011, by Second Chance
Paws Mission needs your help!
One of our volunteers has found a brown Shitzu at a road side in Taman Maluri one week ago. The 3 year old male dog could not eat properly well so he was sent to Lee's Clinic at Old Klang Road for check up. He was X-rayed and found his lower jaw was disjointed from the upper part, that explains why his tongue always hangs down.
Dr . Zamzi said a surgery is necessary to join back the lower and upper jaws so he can eat again. That surgery will...
