When she was first brought to our panel vet - she had a badly infected ey...

DUMPED? Being old - is that a good enough reason for an owner to give up on me?
Female Alsatian picked up amongst heavy traffic at Weld Quay. She is tame with a mild temperament. It appears she has been abandoned and has not been cared for on a while. Please call us if you know the owner.
It is a concern that of late many breed dogs have been abandoned by their owners. Please be responsible pet owners. HAVE A HEART.

Updates On 14th Mar 2012 14th Mar 2012, by SPCA Seberang Perai
Appeal from Sakia: A week ago, I picked up an abandoned kitten, about 3-4 months old, from the Pulau Tikus market despite serious doubts about how I’d keep her as we, me and my husband, travel often and then we’re returning to Indonesia around June-July. She’s a very sweet kitten and was a breeze to litter-train her.
Sakia would like to find a good home for the kitten. Anyone who is interested to adopt the kitten, please contact Sakia at 0164702267.

TNRM IN RAWANG 14th Mar 2012, by Malaysian Dogs Deserve Better
We are currently in the process of expanding our TNRM programme and this time around we are neutering dogs that are fed by Rawang residents Umairah and her husband Kapt Anuar Musa. Both of them and another friend brought two females to one of our panel clinics for neutering today. We have told them to start off with the females and hope to complete the batch of 40 within the next five to six months. The ears of the neutered dogs will also be notched to indicate that they have been TNRMed. ...

From Christine:
Came back from the clinic. Have done the checkup. Stronghold is healthy. He is about 8 days old. The vet has given him some vitamin drops. She said that is the only thing she can do for now. Have also trimmed his nails.
The doctor advise to bring him back for another checkup after 2 weeks. By then, he will be able to eat some blend can food with water. She also advise that stronghold to be given worm vaccination when he reaches two months old.
I really have learnt a lot these d...

Story Of A Rescue... 14th Mar 2012, by Soi Dog Foundation
Puppies such as this one underscores the importance of Shiver's Puppy Care Club...
Soi Dog picks up many young puppies every week. Most have been abandoned on roadsides or dumped & left to die. The lucky ones are found & given a second chance. Sadly these very young puppies have often been separated from their mothers & have little resistance to disease. These tiny pups enter our Intensive Care Program which includes initial treatment for any injuries or disease, quarantine (until their immune ...

Diva Is Adopted! (Mary Yap’s) 14th Mar 2012, by AnimalCare
Do you remember little Diva? She’s the kitten Mary picked up from a divider on Old Klang Road in the middle of the mid-morning traffic jam. Till today it remains a mystery how such a tiny little kitten managed to get across the four-laned highway to hang precariously onto the divider.
Diva was found clutching her little paws onto the divider.
Mary brought Diva over to me that afternoon and I offered to foster her overnight until she pees and poos on her own.
And since then, Mary has looked ...
