A friend shared this: http://shine.yahoo.com/pets/old-pet-correct ly-calculate-dog-cats-age-162200633.html
Please click on the link and take a look.
It is interesting to note that large breeds and small breeds of dogs age at a different rate. Makes sense, doesn’t it?
So, Bobby should be 80 and Cow, Bunny and Pole, 40! And Indy is pushing 32. Wow…I had better stop treating them as kids!
Click on the link above and scroll all the way down and read the comments as well.

Trusting Nature To Do What’s Best 10th Mar 2012, by AnimalCare
I was chatting with someone who runs a sanctuary in another town and I told her about the story of Sunshine Courage. She was very inspired with Sunshine’s recovery, and she said, in her experience of decades of looking after animals, she has encountered on many occasions, paralysed dogs, which when left alone, started to heal on their own and could finally walk again! So, she said, all this hurry to have animals euthanised just because the vet says they will not recover, is sometimes, so u...

JUNE... OUR HAPPY TRIPOD - LOOKING FOR A HOME! June arrived as a small puppy after being rescued from a road accident. She spent 3 months in our clinic where her injured leg had to be amputated. Today she's a playful, funny 3 legged dog who makes us all laugh. She loves to race around with the other dogs, but is also very affectionate & loves to be cuddled. Her favourite trick is digging in the water trough to keep herself cool!
June is approx 8 months old. If you can offer June a special home,...

Yes, it is Mr G!
Hi there, Mr G….oh, I haven’t offered you a snack all day, hang on, please.
Today, I cooked for the gang, so everyone had a home-cooked meal and they enjoyed it. So, Mr G gets a home-cooked meal as well, and he enjoyed it as wel...

"MERLINWIZ" - DUMPED & FORGOTTEN.... WE NEED TO FIND HIM SPONSORS 9th Mar 2012, by Soi Dog Foundation
"MERLINWIZ" - DUMPED & FORGOTTEN....
This old boy was discovered by a foreigner at Patong Beach. Merlinwiz is an old dog (approx 9 years of age) & he was found wandering around the beach in a very confused and disoriented state. We're not sure how Merlinwiz ended up at the beach, but he appeared to have been DUMPED by someone.
Merlinwiz could barely see as he had lots of discharge from his eyes (due to his age) & the poor boy was totally bewildered. He's now safe in our "Old Age" dog run. He...

Hi guys, thanks for your alerts but please stop flooding our Wall with the photos of the Section17 dog, yes we're aware of this case and we will investigate. We need a witness statement, thus far we have not had anyone come forward. Also having the dog examined by a vet immediately is crucial as the report can be used to support the case, so the dog needs to be located asap!

Updates On 9th Mar 2012 9th Mar 2012, by SPCA Singapore
We are often posed this question about how long pets live?
If cared for properly, with the right diet, exercise, vet check-ups and lots of love and affection, you can expect to share many wonderful years with your pet.
A dog or a cat will live 10-20 years, a rabbit 5-10 years, guinea pigs about 6 years, chincillas 8-15 years and a hamster about 2 years.
Remember, a pet is a lifetime of commitment.
