A person by the name of Sharon needs help to foster a little kitten that she just found. But they are in Johor Baru. Her husband just called. If you know of any fosterer/caregiver, or the contact no of HOPE, please contact Sharon on 016-2705082 asap. It sounded very urgent on the phone. I’m going to call back now and advise them (she and her husband) to care for the kitten for tonight, at least.

Yan Wei just wrote to say that the dog family has been successfully caught and are now at the vet’s. The vet said they would be ready to adoption in 2 weeks’ time.

FOSTER FOR ONE NIGHT NEAR LOS ANGELES AIRPORT? Is there anyone who lives near Los Angeles airport who'd be prepared to pick up 2 dogs from LAX & look after for one night (29th February) , then take back to airport following day for connecting flight to New Mexico? We have 2 Dogs going to new homes (one from Soi Dog Shelter & one from Dog Meat Trade). Can anyone help us out? If so, please email cindy@soidog.org

BETTY THE SNOW DOGGY!... Betty flew to her new home in the UK last year. Her new mum "Jess" tell us Betty just LOVES the snow! Betty was always smiling at Soi Dog, but now she's really got something to smile about!

MEET "LUCKY" - CAN WE FIND THIS PRETTY GIRL A FAMILY! Lucky was found with a broken pelvis & femur, probably due to a road accident. She arrived at Soi Dog at just a a few months old, very frightened & bewildered.
After several months of treatment in our clinic she's healed well & is now healthy & living in our Puppy Run. She used to be a little scared of people, probably due to her limited exposure to humans as a small pup. But now thanks to lots of visits from volunteers, she's completely ...

News from Maslinda at 5am this morning:
just now i went to my isolation room (to feed both mother cats and check on her) and found that thong dao managed to escape from the cage and out of the room thru the window.
at night i normally put her inside the cage coz i want to make sure she’s eating. i did the same last night

I considered us EXTREMELY lucky in that many times when we shout out for help, someone somewhere will offer (not always, just sometimes, but I’m extremely thankful for these “sometimes”).
We helped Kim shout out for help two days ago when she found 4 abandoned kittens and after one day, our reader (she has insisted on anonymity and we shall respect that) offered to help. By then, one had already passed on and there were only 3 left.

UPDATES at 8.47pm – Yan Wei wrote to say the dogs have been successfully caught and are at the vet’s. The vet said they would be ready for adoption in 2 weeks’ time. No further details have been given.

Dear little Perky, adopted by Mei Leng in 2010. Perky was one of our Klang Pound rescues, taken out from the pound on the day she was due to be euthanised. Then, she was “lucky” in that she was in dire straits, so we brought her back from the farm for treatment. Thereafter, Mei Leng offered to adopt her, and life has been GREAT for Perky ever since!

Fosterer Urgently Needed: This is Winter. Her owners wanted to surrender her to the SPCA because she has scabies. We suggested they treat Winter's affliction instead and even provided the medication. Sadly, after just one week, they gave up and left Winter to us. So we're now urgently looking for someone to foster her so we can put her up for adoption.
